HARRY'S POV

"No, Louis," I say, jamming my fingers in the door just as he leaves me forever. His words leave me standing there. I hate you...I hate you...I hate you...

I shot up from my bed, panting. It was just a dream. But I can't fall back asleep, I feel like something is wrong. I feel for my night stand light, flicking it on. It was 2:30 in the morning. Who would be up this early? Whenever I had a bad dream, no matter the time, Louis would be there for me.

I wipe the sweat off my head with my shirt and climb out of bed. I climb down the stairs, almost tripping, but catching myself. I hope I didn't make too much noise. My eyes flicker towards Louis's room. His door was shut but you could see the light from the bottom. I end up turning back around, standing outside of his door for what felt like forever.

Then, my hands touch the cold doornob. Before I could even think, I open the door up. He's sat on his bed with his laptop, his earphones in. But his eyes are shut. "Lou?" I whisper. "Are you awake?" He doesn't even move. I walk over, taking his lapto and earphones away and putting them beside his bed. "Sorry about everything." I whisper, tucking his blanket in, and flicking his light out before shutting his door. I sat on the stairs, just thinking.

At 2:30 in the morning, I was a mess. "Harry?" I turn to see Louis, his voice croaking as he rubbed his eyes sleepily. "What are you doing?"

"Nothing," I say standing. "Go to sleep."

"Why are you awake?"

I walk towards him, and we back into his bedroom. "Nothing, just a bad dream. Night Lou-" He stopped me mid sentence when he sat on his bed, pulling the covers back up to his chin. I wait for him to say goodnight but all he said was, are you going to come here or not? So I climb in his bed, too. I had to adjust the pillows and Lou turns off the light beside him, collapsing back into the pillows.

It's so quiet. We don't say anything. "Sorry you had a bad dream." he whispered, and I could only just make out him beside me. He was running his fingers through his hair, his body pushed up against the bedframe. "Want to tell me about it?"

I swallow. I find his hand so he stopped pulling his hair, and intertwine our fingers together. He doesn't mind. Neither do I. "Someone important left me. I never want to have that feeling for real."

"Was it Gemma?"

I shake my head but realize he can't see me. "No."

He drops my hand, and comes to lay beside me, his arm drapped across my stomach and mine around his shoulder. "Who was it, then?" It won't kill you, it's not like he'd guess straight up I had a nightmare about him leaving me, and then he'd know I have feelings for him, right? It feels like forever since he'd asked the question. Something inside me said don't tell him, but them the other half said, you've got to say it. I could pretend to be asleep, then I wouldn't have to say anything, or I can change the subject. No. I've made him upset enough.

"You."
