Ash's perspective
I can't sing. Not now, not after what Lance just did. The picture of him and Becky keeps replaying in my head like a horror movie. After all I did for him... Did it mean nothing to him? How could he just replace me like that?
I leaned against the wall of the theater. I tried to rehearse, but I couldn't. Lance just keeps running through my mind, and it's annoying. I wanna punch someone, and that someone is Lance.
I heard his footsteps beside me, but I didn't turn around to look at him. He didn't say anything for a while, he just stood beside me.
"Aren't you going to ask me if I'm okay? Animals usually do that." I said and glanced at the gorilla beside me. My blue eyes met Johnny's brown ones.
"I already know you're not okay. I can see that." He was quit for a second, thinking through what he just said. Then Johnny quickly added. "Because I'm your friend."
"Ouch. Talk about friendzoned." I joked, and Johnny laughed nervously. I looked up at him with a smile.
"Wanna go somewhere?" He suddenly stopped laughing.
"Uh... Only the two of us?" I don't know for sure, but I think his cheeks turned slightly pink. He's blushing? I laughed. That's cute.
"Come on. Let's go." I took his hand and started walking. He followed me, and I couldn't deny that I liked holding his hand. His hand was warm, and just what I needed after what Lance did.
***
Isn't it funny that I'm writing a love story about a gorilla and a porcupine?
