There's a lot of shit that Lauren wishes she'd never done in her life, and coming out to this club tonight has to be top of the list.
Wait. No. That's an extreme exaggeration. There's a whole lot of shit that Lauren wishes she'd never done more than she wishes she'd never come out to this club tonight. Starting this whole 'girlfriend' lie happens to be one of them. Because had she not started that damn story, she wouldn't be in this badly lit club, with an overly drunk and overly touchy Lucy next to her, watching Normani grind her ass on Dinah and randomly laughing at stuff Dinah said, that Lauren's sure isn't even that funny.
Like, who comes to a club to talk though? Conversations are for confessionals and old married people who're trying to avoid having sex because their genitals are old and tired. Not clubs. Plus Lauren's pretty certain Normani's just laughing as hard as she is to piss her off, there's absolutely no way on god's earth this Dinah girl is that funny.
No way.
She downs her seventh, maybe eighth shot of the night. She has no idea what the hell she's drinking but whatever it is it's nasty and she wants more of it. "Lucy, get the fuck off of me." She grumbles, pushing Lucy's head off her shoulder. This is the last time she takes her clingy ass anywhere to be honest.
"Lord," Lucy grumbles, rubbing both her temples with her fingers. She's beyond drunk at this point. And if Lauren was a nice person, she would take her home. Amandla already left, something about dealing with shit with Yara or something. And the club's not as fun as it was when they got here, plus Normani's occupied. So it won't cost Lauren much to take Lucy home. But see, the thing is, she's not a nice person. What she is, is a very drunk and extremely annoyed person who at the moment, needs even more drinks in her system before she rips Dinah's head off her neck.
Who the fuck dances with their friend like that? Groping their butt and leaning down to whisper shit in their ear after every five seconds. It's freaking disrespectful and Lauren genuinely cannot understand why Normani hasn't punched her yet. "Excuse me." Lauren says, walking right between them. Dinah looks at her like she's crazy, and Normani looks at her like she knows exactly what she's doing. "I'm going to go get more drinks, do you want anything, Mani?"
"Uh, no?" She shakes her head, brown eyes blinking lazily like they always do when she's drunk. If they were together, right about now is when Lauren would take her home, stumbling and laughing all the way there. They'd maybe talk in bed when they got there. Or kiss lazily until they couldn't anymore. It would have been a perfect night. Things were always so good when they were together. That's until they weren't.
"Dinah, do you want something?"Normani asks her friend.
Lauren frowns. She's pretty sure she only asked if Normani wanted something. She couldn't give less of a fuck what Dinah wants.
"Uh. Just water."
"And I'd-" Lucy raises her hand like she's a four year old asking for permission to go pee or something, "I'd like a beer. A really cold beer." She mumbles drunkenly.
Lauren scowls, "did I ask the two of you what you want? You both know where the bar is, get your own damn drinks." She doesn't care whether or not they think she's rude, she didn't ask them what they want to drink. She doesn't even care.
She feels their eyes on her as she makes her way to the bar. She would like to say she didn't mean to be rude, but that would be a bold ass lie. Honestly, she has never been over anything as she is over this night.
She just wants it to fucking end already.
"Two shots of the strongest drink you have." She says to the bartender as she settles herself on one of the high stools.
