Chapter 17

Two hours later

"Ugh finally!" I exclaim as Will comes back into the room with the x-ray results. "You'll be happy to know that you have no major injuries, just a few cracked ribs." He says rolling his eyes. "Hey! Don't get sassy with me." I slap his arm lightly. "Well, Ms. Goodwin has given you and Sophia the rest of the day off." He says as he backs away a little bit. "You are free to do whatever after you sign the discharge papers. Except, you need to wear loose clothing, and take it easy. Got it? Oh! And to make sure you do that, Antonio is going to take you back to the station with him." He gives me an innocent smile.

"Don't act innocent you meany butt!" I exclaim crossing my arms while 'pouting.' "What about Zach. Can't I go home with Zach?" I whine. "Is Genesis there?" He asks. "Pft. Yes." I say blowing air out of my mouth. "You are a liar! If someone else isn't there to watch you, you can't go." He says walking more towards the door. "Well, Sophia can come with me." I say to him before crossing my arms and pouting. "Well then she can go to the station with you and you can pick up Zach on the way." He says. "Hey, sorry but I have to go. I am heading back to my house to get ready for a dinner I didn't know I was going to be having tonight." Sophia says sticking her head back in the room. "Ugh!!!" I groan as Antonio comes into the room. "You can't make me go." I pout with my arms still crossed. "Be careful with her." Will says before leaving the room.

"Come on." Antonio says as he walks over to me. "No." I turn my face away from him. I feel myself being lifted off of the bed. Antonio was carrying me while I was still in my crisscross position as to not hurt me. "How are you so strong?!" I exclaim throwing my hands up. While I was doing so I started to wobble a bit which caused Antonio to send me a look. "Sit still! I don't plan on dropping you on your head." He scolds. "Memememememe." I mimic him. "None of that." He says setting me down in the front seat of  his vehicle and buckling me in.

"Damn." I mumble crossing my arms again over my chest after he closed the door. Once we got to the station Antonio got out of the car but for some reason he left the key in the ignition. As soon as he closed the door I reached over and locked it so once he got to the passenger side of the car he couldn't open the door. "Open the door right now!" He calls knocking on the window. "Or what?" I ask. "Or I'm going to go get Hank and Jay." He threatens. Thinking it over for a minute I contemplate my options. "Let's see, so either stay in here and get in trouble with Jay and Hank, or unlock it and have you carry me inside?" He nods his head at me. Reluctantly I unlocked the door causing him to open it before I could relock it.

"Hey, can you open the gate for me?" Antonio calls to the lady behind the desk as we walk in. "Why are you.... You know what never mind." The lady says opening the gate. I smirk getting an idea as Antonio carries me up the stairs. As he gets to the top he brings me over to the de that Jay is leaning on and plops me down in the seat. "Ow!" I exclaim grabbing my side. "Careful! Why would you put her down like that?" Jay asks rushing over to me. "Are you okay?" He asks. I whimper slightly before nodding. Jay turns around to look angrily at Antonio. I smirk at him. "Look at her! She's just faking it!" He exclaims pointing at me. I put an innocent look on my face before he can see.

Jay narrows his eyes at me as the rest of his team laughs lightly behind him. "Why would she be faking pain?" Jay turns to look back at Antonio. I stick my tongue out at him before going back to looking innocent. "I don't know, maybe cause she didn't want to come here." Antonio says moving back to his desk. I pull out my phone and start playing a game on it so Jay can't see my guilty face. "He's a liar." I say not looking up. Exiting the game I text Connor.

'When you get off of work, can you come get me?'

I receive a text within a few minutes saying that he will get off in about three hours. "Who are you texting?" Jay asks leaning over my shoulder. "Nobody!" I exclaim exiting the texting app and locking my phone. "Give me your phone." He sticks his hang out. "No." I say being stubborn. If he knew what I texted him he would know that I was lying, and it would prove Antonio right. "Why not?" "Cause it's none of your business who I was texting." I say crossing my arms. "Oh come on! As long as it wasn't something sexual you should be fine with it." He says grabbing my phone. "Hey!" He looks at my phone for a minute before looking at me. "Password?" He asks "Nope." I say getting up and grabbing my phone.

I walk over to the only girl in the room and whisper to her. "Bathroom?" She laughs lightly before getting up and leading me to the restroom. "So why don't you want him reading your texts? Boyfriend?" She asks wiggling her eyebrows. "No, I just don't want him to know that Antonio was right." I say laughing at her. "Okay well, come back once your done." She says. "Wait! Don't tell Jay." I say walking in the door. I walk into the bathroom and pull out my phone using my new password 'JayWillZach' I unlock it. Some people would think it's a really weird password to have, but I only put people who are important to me. I go into my texts sending one to Zach.

'Hey, you want to come sit at the station with me? They wont let me leave because of something that happened at work.'

I got a text back like thirty seconds later.

'Yeah sure, how do I get there though?'

'I'll ask someone to go get you. I don't want you coming alone.'

After he agreed I locked my phone again before actually going to the bathroom. After washing my hands I walk back into the main area and sit back down at Jay's desk. "Hank!" I call before getting right back up. "Can you send whoever would be the most annoyed to go get Zach?" I ask. "The most annoyed? Why?" He asks suspiciously. "I just like annoying people." I answer smiling innocently. "Well in that case. Antonio! I need you to go pick up Zach from her apartment." He says pointing at me. "What am I? A taxi driver?" He asks.   

"Pwetty pwease?" I ask in a baby voice pouting my lip out. "Ugh! Fine, only because Hank told me I have to." "Is he annoyed?" I ask walking over and sitting down at his desk. "Looks like it." hank replies as I throw my feet onto his desk.

Antonio came into up the stairs about thirty minutes later covered in pink and blue paint and a bunch of pink glitter with a smirking Zach behind him. "Why are your feet on my desk?!" Antonio shouts angrily.  "Hey, don't stress Tony. What'd you do Zach?" I ask laughing. "Tony?!" he yells. "The two of you are terrible! Horrible!" He shouts. "Yeah okay, so what'd you do?" I ask disregarding him. "Well, I had set a trap for when you came home, but then I thought about what you would do to me and figured I would prank Genesis instead, when he knocked I thought it was Genesis and told him to come in. Thus resulting in him covered in pink and blue paint and glitter." Zach says motioning to the man. I stand up and cross my arms over my chest glaring slightly at him.

"Why in the world wound you do that?! Did you leave a mess that I'm going to have to clean up later?!" I ask my voice raising slightly. "No, I cleaned it all up." He says looking down at him hands. "Oh okay." I say accepting it and going to sit down at Jay's desk. "You're okay with this!?" Antonio shouts at me causing me to flinch. "Hey!" Jay comes and stands in front of me and block Antonio from my view. "I'm sorry." He says looking down as he realized how scared I was. "Come here Zach. We can talk about your punishment." I whisper pointing to the seat next to me. "But...." He starts to complain. "No buts. Sit!" I command pointing to the seat again. He nods before sitting down.

"No phone, or TV for a week. I would take away the computer but you have to do school still, but I will be blocking anything that is not your school on the computer so you can't go to any other sites, and you will be coming to work with me everyday for that week and doing your school in the break room." I say before holding my hand out. "Phone." He slowly places the phone in my hand before sitting there with his arms crossed. I get up and hug him whispering in his ear, "You can use your phone and watch TV while we are at the house, but everything else it going to be true. I just don't want Antonio to get any madder at me for not punishing you." He hugs back before pulling away and smiling at me.
