" And I'm feeling like a villain, got a hunger inside
one look in my eyes
and you're running 'cause I'm comin'
gonna eat you alive "
*****
A girl whose anger takes a hold
Who makes her stare stone cold
Has the power to ignite
Great evil or good that shines a light
She is a warrior, of unique kinds
She is his undoing, and he holds the binds
My eyes shoot open to the sound of my alarm clock as I am staring at the black ceiling fan against the white ceiling. Tilting my head slightly to the right, I look at my alarm clock as it read six o'clock in the morning while making the obnoxious ringing noise before I hit the snooze button. The noise stopped, as I rolled back to staring at the new ceiling of my new house, in this new-to-me town in a place completely on the other side of the country.
Here I was in Cascade Creek, Washington two thousand, eight hundred sixty five point one miles away from my home in New York City, but my mother thought it was best if we got far, far away from my life. And that she did. Sighing as I rolled out of my familiar bed and trudged my way into the bathroom.
Stepping onto the cold, white tile floor, I closed the black wood behind me as I immediately started taking off my pajamas as I faced away from the mirror. Once my clothes were stripped, I made my into the shower. The water quickly warmed up as I climbed in, letting the steamy water drench my thick, dark brown hair, as I closed my eyes trying to make myself wake up.
I grabbed the soap as I washed my hair and body as my eyes remained closed, as I avoided seeing my reflection. Once, I felt like all the soap was off my hair and body, I turned the water off as I grabbed the towel sitting on the hook. Drying myself off as my hair was leaving little wet droplets on my shoulders as I stood near the vanity as I reached into the drawer to grab my hairbrush. Sitting on the toilet, I brushed my knotty hair quickly before throwing the hairbrush back in the drawer.
As I was done, I stood up as I stepped in front of the mirror and the vanity counter. My hair was covering my eyes as I slowly raised my head to look into the mirror. The only thing I saw my hair and my toweled covered chest until my eyes connected with each other as my gunmetal blue eyes were slowly getting into a darker shade. Shutting my eyes quickly, I left the room almostly immediately as I was walked into my bedroom.
The room was painted an emerald green color as it was illuminated by a single lamp while the room only consisted of black dressers, a black bed, and black closet.
I quickly went to the closet as I pulled out a pair of black ripped jeans and a white t-shirt as I slid them on quickly. As I slid on a pair of small black heels, as I let my hair air dry on its own. Grabbing my backpack and leather jacket, I slid them both on quickly as I grabbed my phone to see I had twenty minutes left until I had to leave. Nodding, I grabbed my stuff and made my down the stairs to the kitchen as I saw my mother had made a breakfast consisting of eggs, toast, and raspberries as a steaming mug of coffee sat next to the plate.
She was standing on the other side of the island counter with a cup of coffee in her hand as she was wearing a freshly pressed pants suit. She smiled brightly at me as she spoke in her soft way "Morning, sunshine."
