One Mistake

Chapter 24. Yay Paris

Delaine's POV

Those traitors.

Madison, Colby and Ashley

I paced around the room waiting for Lauren to get here.

As I did I saw the paper with the prophecy from the first day of school.

I reread it

"Fire and Ice, the cure for mice and cat,

The holder will takeover stay, the chosen children shall risen over the horizon and over the sea before the light of thee...

One of the heroes shall gave death and child of revenge shall deliver"

That last part brought me shivers. Wait, if one of us die because one of us does that mean the prophecy will be completed?

It did talk about going over a sea? Whatever, Lauren got here with information.

"So, what are they doing?", asked Alyssa as Lauren say down by me.

"They're getting allies, other people with powers to join them!", Lauren explained. She was pretty handy for spying since she could turn invisible.

But they were getting people on their side?! That was actually pretty smart.

"We should do the same!", I suggested. "Then we would be copycats", protested Cohen. "So". Cohen groaned as he flopped onto the couch.

He looked sick, maybe it was because his breakup. I laughed and continued talking to Lauren.

"So, who do we get to join us?", asked Ms. Taylor. "Perhaps some of your students will be helpful!", suggested Alyssa faking a smile. I felt bad for her, ever since she had found out that Austin was a traitor she hadn't been the same, she always seemed sad now instead of having a smile on her face.

"I did see a few students acting a bit strange the other day", Ms. Taylor shared. "And those people are..?", I asked waiting for an answer.

"Lexie, Tanner, Daniel, and Veronica".

"Let's go find them then!", cheered Chad. "No, just because they acted strange it doesn't prove that they have powers", argued Chandler. He was right, but I did think that they might actually have powers.

"Let's go and find out then", exclaimed Ms. Taylor.

Ava's Pov

"Well?", I heard Austin ask. I looked over at him and saw him and Wyatt arguing about something.

Adriana and Cloie were looking at a map while the rest were gone, trying to find the swords.

I thought back to the others and got reminded of the prophecy. The prophecy, it said one of us would die...

That's perfect! We just kill one of the others and "boom" the prophecy will be completed and we will all go on with our lives!

As the others that were here were about to leave I told them about the plan I came up with.

"Hey, that's pretty good", Wyatt said to me. Perfect, now I I just have to find a way to get the others at the same place at the same time. This was going to be fun.

"How are we going to get them over the horizon like it said in the prophecy?", Adriana asked with sass.

"Well, it would help if the government knew about them having power and they sent them there for us", I snickered. "That perfect...but where?", Austin questioned.

"Guys, we're going to Paris, France!", I cheered as everyone else in the room stayed silent.

Cohen's POV

"What do you mean they're looking for us?!", I yelled.

"They're at the door demanding to come in!", yelped Chad while pulling Chandler behind my couch.

We stayed silent for a few moments and then I heard Ms. Taylor talking with an adult at the door.

"Guys, what on Earth are we going to do!?", cried Alyssa while wiping away her tears. I knew the people searching for us wasn't the reason she was crying, it was because of Austin.

I saw Delaine was about to say something but we heard a alarming scream coming from the front of the house, that was Ms. Taylor's scream for sure.

Foot steps echoed through the house and got closer and closer. "What are we going to do?", whimpered Lauren. Delaine gave her a comforting hug before five men dressed in black grabbed them and put something that was colored black on their hands.

I felt some do the same to me as I struggled against their grip but they were too strong. The others were being taken outside and their screams were muffled. 

I felt weak, 'Maybe because you are' mocked a feminine voice inside my head. Hey, I was supposed to be the mind reader here.

I felt like I was dying. "Because you are!", the feminine voice said sarcastically inside my head.

Freaky

After a few hours

I tried moving but I was tied down down.

I tried talking but my mouth was covered.

I tried everything I could to get free but nothing worked.

I could hear screams on the distance, sounded like they were in pain.

I tried once more moving but I heard a voice lingering. It was coming closer and closer and I could tell it was a girls voice. More specific, Ava's voice.

"Well hey Cohen, I assume you are doing just marvelous!", Ava squealed.

I tried saying something but no use. "Oh, darling let me help you!". She took off the mask that was on my face so I could see her and I could also speak.

"What, where am I?!", I panicked. I looked at Ava and noticed she didn't look like herself, she had her hair curled and makeup?  She seemed amused with me being confused and hummed as she grabbed a needle from a cabinet that was next to the bed I was in. It was really sharp and from the look in her eyes I knew she was going to do something to me.

"Oh don't panic dear, it won't hurt one bit". Yeah, Ava was going loco aka crazy. She came closer with the needle but it fell out of her hands due to an arrow hitting her arm. I looked at the direction it came from and saw Colby.

Just perfect. My knight and shining armor.

"Ava, this isn't you so stop!", Colby yelled at her. She looked hurt for a second and then pressed a button next to my bed that teleported me to an arena. Just great.

Around me were Delaine, Chad, Alyssa, Chandler, Ms. Taylor and Lauren.

Behind me I heard others approaching while whispering.

"Lady Adriana, will you do us the honors and complete the prophecy", bowed JC who gave her my sword!?

I tried moving but my feet were stuck. "No,no,no,no!", I saw Maddy running towards the middle of the arena so she could stop Adriana but she was too late.

I watched as Adriana flung my sword around until she let it go and it slashed-...
