This is my third book on here and the first two haven't gone to well so I hope this one goes well.

I've been reading a lot of Historical Fiction on Wattpad and I love them but i've never got the guts to actually write one and I hope this one goes well.

This is an extract from the first chapter!

Rosetta Lucas' life has been a pretty easy life as she was mostly like a child, but she noticed how hard life was when she turned 18. Her parents had set up a ball for her 18th birthday.

Rosetta didnt want all the fuss being put on her this year as she knew that her parents would be finding a "husband" for her. She didn't like the sound of being trapped in a marriage with someone you didn't love.

The only love she knew was from her parents and her sibling, but not from anybody else. She loved her friends, but she only loved them as friends not as lovers. Manly because they were all girls.

Albert Brimley was a 28 year-old man with one child. He knew that he had to get another wife, but he didn't want one. He knew that his son needed a mother, so he decided to go looking for a wife. That's when he turned up at Rosetta Lucas' ball he didn't want to be here.

He was just standing around looking at all the men and women who had turned up. Thats when Lord Richard Lucas, Rosetta's father, announced that Rosetta was going to be coming down into the room in any second.

His palms were sweeting and he didn't have a clue why. He had a feeling in his stomach that he wanted to have Rosetta as his wife and his lover.

He never really loved he old wife, she died in child birth and he only grieved from 1 month. His old wife spoke two words before she died and they were 'Albert Junior'. He felt as if she wanted to call their child that and he did call their child that. AJ was now 8 years of age and he always asked of kis mother but he never did tell him what she was like.

Rosetta was walking down the strais and then the doors opened. She took a deep breath and continued to walk. 'I can do this' was running through her head at the time.

When Rosetta walked through the door she looked around to see all the faces she grew up to see. But there was a few she didn't recognise. She looked to the right of the room and saw the most beautiful man in the world.
