Eye For An Eye

"How did you know we were here?" I asked.

"Well, Emery of course." He said and turned around. I looked at the face standing in front of me. His face was brooding and methodical. His body was buff and strong, he was short for someone so buff, but tall for a normal guy. He had tight clothes on, they didn't fit him, like he wasn't used to being so buff, as if it was something that just appeared recently, and he is having trouble adjusting. I looked into his malicious eyes, which were taking each one of us, like a lion stalking his prey. In them there was something familiar to the lion, it was then that I really looked at him, and saw that if you took off 70% of his muscle, you would get the same guy who tortured us before.

"It's you...." I said in a growl.

"Yup, Madero Harkman, in the flesh."

"Harkman...." It sounded familier. No. Bot just familier, I knew that name, I just can't place where.

"Harkman. The rebel tribe leaders from the remote corner of Atria, the ones that used Atrian knowledge and weaponized it." Teri said.

"How did you get here?"

"That's a story for later, for now...Emery..." Madero said looking towards Emery. Suddenly she was out of Drake's arms like it was nothing, and by his side. "You see, you did exactly what I wanted you to do."

"What do you mean?" Taylor asked.

"....Information....you sent her into Emery for info, until we figured it out, then you would have her for leverage...."

"Yup. And thank you for being so dumb." And at that I tries to lunge at him, but Drake grabbed me. "No, no. Don't be hasty now. We will get to their in no time. Be patient my comrade."

"What are you gonna do to her??"

"Nothing too bad." I looked at Emery, and it was no longer Emery, it was just an empty shell of a body. I looked to Drake and he nodded, knowing my plan. I looked around the room before looking at everyone else and they nodded in understanding. I waited until he was facing away and nodded and we each attacked a guard.

I went for one of the two by Emery while Taylor and Sophia got the other one. Drake and Teri got the 2 gaurds at each doorway. Julia amd Lucas were on the other gaurd that was on the other end of the room.

The Gaurds reaction time was slow, having been taken by surprise. I punched him in the face, my knuckles aching, but I still hit him a few times till he was down. I looked up, Drake and Teri were gaurding the exits from intriders or escapees.

Then there was Madero. His face was priceless. He had a look of complete and utter surprise.

"So. You were saying?" Before he said anything he tried to run to his altar, but Sophia and Taylor blocked him. "I don't think so."

I had Lucas and Julia take care of Emery while I tied up Madero.

"Now, you're going to answer some questions."

"What do you want to know?"

"How did you get here."

"Well, we've been wandering for almost 2 decades, till we got the signal and landed here."

"Why come here?"

"To make it our new home..."

"Now, what did you do to Emery?"

"Why should I tell you?"

"Because you don't want to see me angry."

"Fine, I did spell that let me see through her eyes, but then I decided to use that link to have my sister take over her body. She is still in there....somewhere....but she can't control her own body, unless of course she had a will strong enough."

"If your sister is in there, then why is she like a robot?"

"Because she is not in there at the moment, she decided to leave once you got here. Now, she is just empty, I'm guessing Emery got tired of holding on is sleeping in there somewhere." I looked at Emery. If she's asleep that means she is having a hard time holding on. When I looked at her I saw a flash of Emery.

"Well, how do we break the spell?" When he didn't respond and just stood still, I took one of his weapons and stayed torturing him like he tortured Emery.

"Okay. Okay. You just need to put the ingredients together, the spell is over there." He gestured to the altar.
