Remember all the things that you and I did first?

And now you're doing them with her

And now you're taking her to every restaurant

And everywhere we went, come on!

Ugh !

"hello ?" I answered my phone in a grumpy way with a sleepy voice

"Hey , sleepy head how was your flight ? "

"Oh ! Hey mom . The flight was good and I have an awesome room mate - Alex ! "

" That's nice . So what all have you been doing on your first day"

"Nothing much yet . We have an assembly at 3:00 though "

"Then you should seriously hurry up honey ! It would be around 2:15 right now in L.A "

shit !  i checked the clock and my mom's right

" Oh my gosh mom ! thanks a ton ! i don't know what would have happened if it wasn't for you . Bye mom . I love you !"

" I love you too sugar . Take care . Enjoy your stay in L.A"

And with that i hung up . We gotta hurry if we want to reach on time on the first day of our assembly . I rushed toward Alex's bed and started shaking her up.

" Hey , Alex Wake UP ! We're late "

"C'mon Mom ! five minutes more "

" ALEX ! am not your mom. I am veronica, get up we're late for the assembly "

"Shit !" Alex bolted right up in her bed 

"Hurry up now we have only 45 minutes"

"what ! Only forty-five minutes ! "

"Yep, I'll go take a shower "

"okay I'll get some food from the cafe ! "

♠♠♠ Fifteen minutes later ♠♠♠

I stepped out of the shower and was greeted by Alex sitting on the couch , eating pasta . Yum ! I wonder what she has brought me . I went and sat beside her and she handed me a cup of coffee with some chocolate chip cookies and brownies . I have to say that this girl sure knows what type of food to buy . I gladly took it from her and flashed her my biggest grins .

"Alex ! I love you . Thanks for the meal "

" No problem Veronica , pleasure's all mine "

" Thirty minutes left ! Go take a quick shower , the water's still warm"

"Thanks . Hey um.. can I call you Roni ? Veronica's a long name you know ! " she asked me with a nervous giggle 

"Why not ! I would love it " 

I grinned at her and she squealed and hugged me

"You're the best Roni . I should probably shower now"

I was dressed in casuals. My outfit consisted of a White top with a red jacket whose sleeves reached up till my elbows with shredded blue jeans and my string sandals . I barely wore any make up because putting it up makes me feel fake . Alex came out and she wore a jean short shorts with a sleeveless American flag tank top . She looked stunning . We both were ready to leave now so we stepped out and locked our dorm and made our way to the assembly area .

We were in the assembly area at three pm sharp and it was crowded like hell . Everyone was busy talking , gossiping to each to each other . All of a sudden there was silence , A middle aged guy who I think is the principal was standing near a podium on the stage .

"Good evening everyone.

I am Mr.Reynolds

It is a privilege to live up to. With all the exciting opportunities for social life, the new friendships, the 

wonderful extra curricular possibilities from sports to acting to politics, from music to community 

involvement, we must never forget that all of us, Fellows, and students at all levels, are here to work 

hard and to do justice to ourselves and to the position we find ourselves in. UCLA, this most 

nurturing of colleges, is one where we expect you to enjoy your student years to the utmost. 

UCLA also expects to see you work hard and take your studies seriously. I have the highest 

expectations of you, my first year of first year students. You may or you may not number among 

UCLA's next Nobel prize winner, although I think one or two the Fellows may beat you to that. I 

may or may not be addressing a high proportion of the USA government cabinet of 2030, or the Bill 

Gates entrepreneur of your generation, or a future Booker prize winner. But I hope and expect that 

every one of you will do justice to your own potential while you are here at UCLA, and that 

we will help you to reach your dreams, and then aspire yet further. We will have done our 

job well if you take from here an ability in small ways and great ways to make the world a better 

place. So enjoy every moment of it.  "

The whole hall was filled with applause . I must say that Mr. Reynolds is very nice speaker and he has the capacity to sway people with just some mere words . Suddenly Alex nudged me with her elbow and I gave her the are you crazy ? look and she just said

"There's this extremely hot guy looking at you ! He's at your farthest right side "

I looked back and holy shit ! she was right and it wasn't just any hot guy . It was LUKE DAVIS .

The guy who bumped with me on the airport !
