A/N : To all my dearest readers who have waited so long for this update . Thank you all for being patient and understanding my reasons for such a late update . This chapter Is longer than the average chapters that I usually write and it's the first chapter of this book that has massive drama and suspense plus a new character . My finals are over ! gah what a relief !

Veronica's P.O.V

First day of university ! God I am so excited yet nervous . Today I actually get to explore the campus , meet new students and teachers , Today I get to make new friends and also Today I get to have lunch with Luke ! After Luke asked me out for lunch , I went straight over to Alex for leaving me in such a situation that to alone ! thank god I didn't hyperventilate or else I would have passed out right at the sight of him but whatever it's only because of her that I am going out on lunch with him today as friends , keyword :FRIENDS

Yep , that's what Luke and I are , he's just a very friendly guy and I am contended at just being friends with him and I also feel that Luke also sees me as a friend and nothing else but my dear friend Alex has a completely different theory

" He's so damn into you veronica ! Why can't you see it ? "

" No he's not . He's just a good friend of mine like you ! "

"You're completely friendzoning him here missy "

" I am not friendzoning him , am just categorizing him as a friend because he's my good friend"

" Why are you so blind ! Who would ask you out on a lunch date on the first day ? "

" It's not a date Alex it's just a lunch and you're also eating with us "

" what ? No way ! I don't wanna be a third wheel. You enjoy your lunch with him and by the way it sure as hell is a date "

" No it isn't ! he's just being friendly I guess "

Was he interested in me ? Or was he just being extra friendly after  being rude ?

I was debating with myself in my head when I bumped into someone . Ugh ! not again, why the hell am I so clumsy ?

All my binders and books fell from my hand and landed up on the floor  . Wat a great start of my first day !

" Oh am so sorry ! It's just that I am a klutz "

I said as I bent down to gather my belongings . Stupid me ! then a hoarse and deep voice said

" It's fine no need to be sorry . I wasn't paying attention "

I looked up from the mess that I had created only to get lost in hypnotizing hazel orbs . I collected all of my stuff and he handed me my books .

" Thanks I am really sorry for the inconvenience "

" Oh please , I should be the one who should be sorry "

I just smiled at him as he extended his hand

" By the way , I am Aaron "

He said with a playful yet genuine smile

" Am Veronica . Nice to meet you Aaron "

I said as I shook my hand with him

" The pleasure's all mine ! "

Then I got up and after collecting my binders and made my way towards the secretary"s office to collect my schedulefor the rest of the year. Alex grabbed my elbow and that made me stop .
