"Alright Maddox. So since we're kind of forced to like each other now, I guess I'd better let you in." Ferris said the next morning as they were dressing. A knock on the door made Ferris check the time.
"I guess they're right on time. I'd better recreate my schedule now that I have a roomie, huh? Maddox, get dressed quickly, because we have guests." Ferris opened the door, and popped the sewer lid that was just outside of the door.
A small crowd of people rushed in just as Maddox was struggling to pull on his shirt. The guys stared and the girls drooled at his slim, fit body, and Ferris only shook his head.
Once Maddox could finally get the shirt on, he realized that he had had an audience.
"Uhh... Hi?" He said shyly, backing slowly from the crowd of a few people.

Ferris is cleared his throat and looked to the people. "As my new roommate, Maddox has been obliged to join our little group. Please welcome him, as he is now the second youngest member, but as we have just seen, far from the weakest." Ferris smirked and looked back at Maddox, who sheepishly sat on the bed.
"Mad?" A familiar voice called out, a small boy pushing his way around the few others.
"Maxim! It's good to see you again." Maddox smiled.
Ferris saw the connection between these two, and said, "So since you and Maddox are already such good friends, I think I'll put you in a group together. And as for the rest of the group assignments," Ferris said, looking back to the crowd. "Reaper with Leo, Bjorn with Gavin, and since I'm the most qualified, I will be solo. Any problems?"
The crowd straightened and saluted in unison to Ferris, who in his current stance, was looking much older than his age.
"Perfect. I expect you all know your assigned duties. Maxim, Maddox, if it wouldn't be too much trouble, please stay after dismissal. The meeting is adjourned." Ferris said officially.
The crowd exited through the sewers, murmuring about Maddox as they left the room.
"Sorry if they were a bit... Unwelcoming. I've never had a new member since... Never, really. You'll warm up to them, I promise." Ferris smiled at Maddox. "I presume that Maddox knows of your current situation?" Ferris said, whispering to Maxim.
Maxim laughed and slung his arm around Maddox's shoulder. "Oh definitely. We're pretty close already."
Ferris grimaced. "I'm almost jealous. Well enough of that. Maddox, I'll explain your duties to you."

"So, we're doing... Nothing?" Maddox asked, surprised.
Maxim nodded. "Yeah, we're technically the back-ups in case someone gets hurt or killed. Which never happens." He knocked on the wooden dresser. "Want to go out for coffee? I know a place."
