"Mad..." Maxim whispered as they walked hand in hand back down the street.

"Hmm? What is it?" He replied, looking down at her.

"Where are we going?"

After walking another few blocks, Maddox finally spoke up.

"... Looks like my instincts kicked in again. This was my first crush's house. I loved her for years and years, and I still do. Never got her name, but I did follow her home one day."

"This house? This yellow one?" Maxim asked, surprise in her voice.

Maddox nodded shyly, cheeks tinting pink.

Maxim but the inside of her cheek, averting her eyes sideways. "So are we... going in?"

Maddox smiled. "She wouldn't even know me. But sure. For old time's sake."

Maxim smiled inwardly and ran up the porch, twirling her fingers around the railing. She noticed a splotch of dried blood near her fingertips on the underside of the railing. Gulping, she brushed it aside and knocked enthusiastically on the door. Maddox joined her by her side and they waited.

After some time, Maxim suddenly ran off to the back of the house, easily hopping over the 8 foot fence. She reappeared moments later in the doorway, hair arranged in a more feminine way so that it curled around her face, softening her features. And was she wearing... a bra?

"Hey, Maddox," She said quietly, embracing her higher pitched girly voice. "You remember me, right? I'm Maxine LaRouge, the girl you've apparently had a crush on since school years?"

"Max?" He replied, questioning himself. "It's really you. I found my kitten. After all of those seemingly worthless, impossible, wasted years, I found you. And you've been right in front of me this whole time, I can't believe it!"

With this, Maddox ran forward and dragged Maxim to her tiptoes and he kissed her lips gently, walking inside and closing the door behind them.

Maxim's face was burning red and her eyes were downcast. "Y-you... my... you stole my first kiss. I didn't expect that. You should have warned me or something!" She shouted, at Maddox. She raised her hand to slap his face, but instead flopped it back to her side.

"Aww geez. I can't hide it, can I? I'm always going to be this little girl at heart, no matter how hard I try to be a boy. There's always a catch- a trigger, if I may, to my femininity. And this time, the first time in a long time, you've caught me." She laughed and sat on the floor, and abruptly sat up, like she had forgotten something. "Can I get you anything? Food, drink?"

They sat down on the edge of Maxim's bed with glass bottles of soda.

"Soooo... can I ask you something?" Maxim asked, breaking the silence.

"Anything." Maddox replied, a dreamy haze still ringing in his voice.

"Why 'kitten?' You called me kitten at the doorway, and you seemed like it was an inside joke or something."

Maddox smiled and scratched the back of his neck. "When I first saw you, you reminded me of a cat. Just your hairstyle, and the fact that I first met you when you were doing parcore in the middle of the street. The way you could move and how you were so graceful made me smile. And so, I began calling you 'kitten,' and I've never forgotten about you."
