When Park Chanyeol woke up, all he could think about was how bad his day was going to be. Some of the various names that the lovely people of the school called him floated through his head as he stood up and started picking out something to wear.

"Hey! How's the weather up there giraffe?" he remembered hearing one of the football players say to him when Chanyeol accidentally bumped into him once.

"Hey look! It's an elephant!" he remembered Na Misun exclaim as he walked into music class once.

"What's up dumba*s." a kid in his math class said to him once when they saw Chanyeol looking over his test grades.

Chanyeol found himself subconsciously looking at his appearance in the mirror as he pondered over these things. Do his ears really stick out that much? Was he really too tall? Was he that stupid? A part of his brain answered "yes" to all of those questions.

But he still forced himself to smile anyways, because today might be better.

Chanyeol's theory was soon disproved though. Because even as he was just starting his walk to school, someone shoved him down as they ran past. Chanyeol had ripped his backpack as he fell, and he felt some of his schoolbooks fall out.

"Hope that didn't hurt too much giraffe!" he heard the person shout as they ran off.

As Chanyeol tried to get back up, he realized his glasses had been knocked off.

"Crap!" He exclaimed, trying to focus on the ground so he could find them. Darned nearsightedness.

Eventually, he did find them, and put them back on to realize that one of the lenses was cracked. Again. Chanyeol tried to focus, despite the crack in his vision, and he was greeted by the sight of all of his books and papers strewn across the sidewalk.

Chanyeol sighed to himself and picked up his books. Sometimes it seems like everyone in this school hates him for absolutely no reason.

As he got up again, gathering all of his books and papers in his hands, he saw one last white sheet get carried away by the wind in the corner of his eye. He gently put down his load to try to go chase after it, but then he saw it land in the middle of the street. The busy street. Chanyeol then managed to read the title of the paper through his cracked glasses.

"climate change and how it effects us"

"NO!" Chanyeol exclaimed, stupidly diving for the paper. It was his science essay, and Ms. Sun said it would make up half of their grade for this semester.

Chanyeol then heard the screeching wheels of a car. He noticed it too late. Even though other people on the sidewalk were yelling at him to "GET OUT OF THE ROAD!" Chanyeol stood, like a deer in headlights, frozen.

He mentally tried to prepare his paralyzed body for impact.

But that impact never came.

Instead, the smell of burnt rubber and the sound of screeching brakes. The car had managed to stop in time.

The lady who got out though, seemed livid enough to get back in her car and run him over one-million times more.

"DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!?" the lady shouted at him.

"I COULD HAVE KILLED YOU! WHAT WAS SO IMPORTANT THAT YOU HAD TO NEARLY SACRIFICE YOUR LIFE FOR IT ANYWAYS!?"

"Myscienceessaythatwilltakeuphalfofmygrade." Chanyeol mumbled, taking up his habit of talking fast when he got nervous.
