Mike and I were walking back. Back to where? I don't know. I lived a few miles from here and I had no idea where he lived.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"Somewhere." He said, vaguely. He seemed like one of those "bad boy mysteries". Why did I want to decode him?
We were still walking in a somewhat comfortable silence. But I was cold as fuck.
I was wearing a short dress in the night-time. This night was really windy.
I could feel my legs shaking.
"Next time we go out, you should wear more."
Next time? We're gonna have another date it seems.
We arrived at a park. There were lots of grassy areas and trees. It looked so tranquil...
....but we walked past all of the grassy areas.
Instead, there was a cerulean river for us to canoe across.
He then walked over to a canoe and swiftly got inside. He showed menhis outstretched hand, "Come on."
I proceeded to climb in. "Aren't you gonna pay?"
"I had this prepared if the date went wrong."
Prepared, huh?
"Okay."
We were then floating across the blue.
I could see a few lights, and they were beautiful. They illuminated our surroundings and I was entranced."It's beautiful." I gasped in awe.
"That's why I chose it," he replied smugly, a sly smile on his face.
You're beautiful, I wanted to say to him.
"Anyway, remember how in McDonald's, you were kissing a girl and stuff. Why are you asking me out?"
"You had to ruin the mood, didn't you?"
"Don't avoid the question!" I reprimanded.
"Honestly, I wasn't feeling it with her. I kissed her for fun. But with you, you're fun to be around. And I wanted to experiment a little, seeing as I don't normally ask people out."
I was surprisingly happy for that explanation.
***
That's the end of their date!
