Days have passed since my sister's surprise, signing up for the contest, and the strange man that showed up that day. To tell the truth, I was kind of looking forward to seeing him. After Octavia mentioned the likelihood of a STARISH member being in our store, I had my hopes up. If that really was Shinomiya, I would've missed the chance of figuring out why I felt like I had a connection with him. I kept looking at the door when customers came in, only to be disappointed again. Ayame and Kiyoshi kept teasing me about it. I just wanted to stop thinking about it so I can work in peace.
When I came home from work, both Oliver and Octavia came running to me.
"[Y/n] ! I won! I won!" she screamed as she jumped up and down, hugging me.
"Calm down, you're going to annoy the neighbors. What did you win?"
"The raffle. I won the STARISH concert raffle."
I stood there for a moment processing this. Out of all the people in the country, the whole world, my big sister won the raffle.
"What?!"
"I know! Don't worry, I ordered three backstage passes for you, Rai and I. I also made cake, bought ice-cream, and soda for us to celebrate."
"You...you won!"
"We won!"
We both held hands, jumping up and down, and squealing, forgetting about the neighbors. I didn't think that we would be able to win the raffle, much less go to the concert. I was so elated I thought I'd faint.
"Do you also know what this means?" Octavia asked.
"What does you winning and us being able to go to their concert mean?"
"It means we'll be able to spend time with them and you, my dearest sister, will be able to talk to your favorite, Natsuki Shinomiya."
I forgot about that. I'd be able to have conversations and get to know them better. I didn't think that we'd get this lucky. I went over to the couch and plopped down.
"This is too good to be true Octavia. What if this is actually a dream?"
"Well let's enjoy it while we can sister! So get your pajamas on and let's get partying!" she exclaimed while trying to drag me off the couch.
Our mini party lasted for most of the night, and even when we went to bed, I had a hard time sleeping. I was still appalled yet excited that we won. I was also thankful that the next day was my day off.
Since it was my day off, I invited Rai over to tell her the news. She fan-girled like we did, then we went straight down to business in planning everything out. We already planned what to wear, how long I would stay, and how much money we would spend. Now, it was figuring out a proper gift to give them as thanks for letting us stay.
"No Rai, we are not going to make them homemade chocolates. It isn't February, it's a little too excessive, and kind of awkward. What would they think?"
"That we are the most awesome fans in the entire world."
"Maybe chocolates are too much." Octavia said as she was writing down ideas.
"Octavia, not you too." Rai whined.
"Let's think of something better than chocolates." Octavia suggested.
"How about we get them matching pins?" Rai said.
"No, too simple." I declined.
"How about matching watches?" Octavia suggested.
"Too expensive."
"A cake?"
"Too delicate."
"Then what ideas do you have miss sunshine?" Rai said with an annoyed face.
"Well, let's not get them matching things. Getting a group of idols the same thing is kind of lazy. I like where you were going with the sweets Rai. However, giving them chocolates and cake is a bit excessive and the cake can get mushed in the crowd. Let's try candy or cookies."
"We could do both. Well just buy lots of candy and bake cookies." Rai said.
"Perfect! Since you wanted something decorative as well, we could decorate the cookies."
"We could decorate them according to their color coded costumes. Their costume colors don't change so it'll be easy." Octavia said.
"Can we put it in a little gift basket?" Octavia asked.
"Sure. Now we have a game plan."
"Yes!" Rai exclaimed happily.
"I'm so excited for the concert." Octavia said, swooning over the concert in her head.
"Imagine what would happen if something were to take place." Rai said as she raised an eyebrow at me.
"No Rai. We are just fans to them. Nothing special will happen."
"Don't you wish that Shinomiya swept you off your feet? He'll take you to a romantic dinner on his ship, and in the moonlight, with his face close to yours..."
Rai didn't have to say anything else after that. Dating Shinomiya would be too much for me to handle and too good to be true. It was also impossible for something like that to happen to someone like me. I was satisfied being a fan and nothing more. Imagining it made my face burn.
"Oh, is that a blush on your face that I see?" Rai teased, poking my arm.
"It won't happen. He is an idol that leads a completely different life than we do. It's very unlikely." I said turning away from the smirk on her face.
"Well, at least we know what to do when we get to the villa. Right Rai?" Olivia winked at Rai.
"No, we are sticking with the plan. If we stray from our plan, things will be chaotic. We want things to go smoothly, not the opposite." I said as I organized the paper for our plan.
"[Y/n], you worry too much. You make it sound like we're preparing for the battle."
"It's better than not being prepared at all. I don't want you to end up lost like you did when we went to a writing convention and you were 'in a trance' by a man you thought was me."
"Hey, you both had the same jacket. I wasn't trying to find a guy to date." Rai said, avoiding my gaze.
Octavia and I laughed at Rai's silliness. However, I may have been laughing, but I was kind of bothered.
I never liked being worried all the time, but before, I wasn't prepared for all those things that happened I felt like if I wasn't prepared for anything, something bad would happen. So I end up thinking of the worst. Isn't that how most people think nowadays? Reality can be harsh at times after all.
Since we had everything planned out, we were able to make the goodie basket and get ready for the concert in minutes. We weren't only ready for a concert or fangirling. We were ready to meet our idols.
