What did I do?

Chapter 8

Amanda's POV

I'm not going to lie having a day off is SO NICE! I'm used to working a lot but still I'm exhausted. I was able to sleep in and take my time getting ready! It was amazing. I also decided that I need some new clothes so I am going out today. I haven't had time to buy much with being so focused on saving money for rent and food and stuff. I decided to finally go into some of the shops I love near. It's a pretty nice day too so that's exciting!

I went out not looking too bad. I had my hair in a soft bun that actually looked pretty good. Then I wore a black v-neck with a pair of dark jeans. Lastly I paired them with one of my pairs of Keds. I chose my light blue double-Dutch pair. I used to buy myself a new pair sometimes for Christmas if I could afford it. I always got them on sale because I knew the one worker that always sold them to me. We weren't friends but she understood what I was going through and helped me as much as she could. She's pretty cool, haven't really seen here much. I should see her soon!

Once I was finally ready in the morning I decided to go into a few smaller shops before doing anything else. I first went into a shop that mainly sold creme and white clothing. I found this one sweater really cute but it was $50! Who the hell has that much to spend on a sweater! I could by a weeks worth of groceries with that! Next I went into a store like that and found the same problem! Everything was so damn expensive! So I went into this shopping mall I found about a mile farther down the road.

The mall was nice and everything was much cheaper. I found this one store where I was able to buy 3 sweaters for $20. I couldn't believe it. The sweaters are nice quality and will be nice once it gets colder. After going into a few more stores and getting some leggings, a cheap pair of sunglasses because I swear the sun won't go down, and a nail polish from the drug store inside.

After all this shopping I was STARVING! I felt like I hadn't eaten in forever and that's when it clicked in my mind that I was so relaxed and stuff this morning I completely forgot to eat breakfast! Anyway I ended up buying a slice of pizza and a small coke. On my way over someone bumped into me and I spilled my drink all over my shirt. Good thing it was black but still it was sticky! I looked up to yell at whoever did this but when I did I was just in complete shock at the person who was in front of me.
