Lucas didn't want to know what would happen in the future. He felt numb these past few days, knowing that he would have to put up with everything. Why can't everyone just forget about what he did and give him another chance? What if I just die today? Would anyone care?, he thought.

It seemed the easiest way for Lucas. If he died, no one would care anyway. If he lived, no one would still care. Suicide seemed like the best option right now. He wouldn't ever be a burden to his mother again. But was the easy way out the right thing to do? Lucas remembered his promise to his father and sighed.

"If life is really worth living for, then why do people try to make life look like a worthless piece of junk? Why do they ruin other people's lives? Why do they do wrong things that they know would hurt others but they still do anyway? "

Lucas still had these questions burning through his mind but he already knew the answers. His father had told him about the way of life on Earth. Life is simple, yes it is, but it is complicated because of human nature. Lucas could vividly remember his father telling him how human nature was complex which was the cause of the complicatedness in the lives of people here on Earth.

Complications. Lucas's life had been full of complications ever since his father left him to his own devices. He felt like a newborn child being thrown in the world without knowing anything.

If he could only know what future has in store for him, he'd probably die. His desire to do suicide was really increasing as each day passed in his life. Lucas never really had the drive to do drugs. Sure, he smoked pot a few months ago but that was because of his curiosity. He never tried it again afterwards anyway.

Lucas wanted to know what the future held for him. He wanted to know if he would achieve his dreams, his goals, his aspirations and his wishes. He wanted to see if he would actually succeed. Maybe he would or maybe he wouldn't. The future held all the answers to his questions.

Lucas had always asked 'what if?' questions to himself. What if his father never died? What if he didn't do that to Kyle? What if he just controlled his anger? What if he just pretended that he was alright? Would this have happened? Maybe not but he wouldn't learn anything if this hadn't happened.

He learned that he needed to focus on the present because the past cannot go back. He wouldn't focus on the future. The future was unforeseen. He was still blind and he needed some eyes. He needed some eyes to see the light of the unforeseen. All he had to do was wait.
