Chapter 4

On Monday, Kamilla left Robbie at school and went back at work where a very demanding project was waiting for her. As soon as she reached work, her assistant told her that her friend Jay was in her office together with latter's friend.

Upon entering her office, she did not have time to sit when Jay took her in his arm:

- Hi honey, long time no see, I missed you.

- You promised to call me but you did not. I'm not at fault.

- To remedy that I have brought you a client.

- Yes, Doris told me that your cousin is with you, where is he?

- Here, meet Matthew Taylor, whose apartment I was occupying last time.

She was shocked and just stared at Matt. He was not surprised at all and seemed that he has already prepared himself to meet her. She suddenly fainted. Matt immediately took her in his arm and brought her to the canapé.

- Jay call her assistant. Quickly.

Jay was panicked and instead of calling Doris. He took his phone to call James.

- What are doing? Call her assistant Jay.

- Ok. But first I'm calling James, he is a doctor.

- Who is James?

- Tina's husband. They are good friends.

Kamilla was still unconscious when James arrived. He examined her and said that she is okay. May be she did not eat anything in the morning. But Matt knew that it was his presence that caused it.

Minutes later, she woke up and saw a panick Jay, James and Matt who was looking at her.

- Hi, how long did I remain unconscious, she joked.

- You are joking, here we were all worried. I had to call James.

- Nothing to worry, I did not have breakfast today as I was in a hurry.

- I told you last time not to escape your breakfast. Poor Robbie was crying when he called us. Do you want him to worry for you, James told her.

- No. promise I won't escape breakfast, lunch or dinner. Happy.

Matt, then approached her and said

- I'm sorry, I should have taken an appointment. But Jay told me it was not necessary.

- No, it's okay. But give me some ten minutes, I'll talk to you.

- No. If you want to take that business, you got to feed yourself properly then you can decide, said James.

- I have a solution. Why not take a late breakfast, an early lunch and talk, Matt intervenes.

- Yeah, that's great, said Jay.

- So, I'm going back to work. And you Kamilla, are free to do your job if you wish.

Kamilla was trapped, she could not say no to Matt nor Jay, so she agreed with them and missed the smile on the face of Matt.

They went to the nearest restaurant. Matt ordered a healthy lunch for Kamilla; snacks and drinks for him and Jay. Kamilla was surprised to see that it was all her favorites that he ordered and again could not say anything. She was like a trapped bird.

- So, what can I do for you Matt? Kamilla asked.

- He bought the Grant's house and wants you to redesign the house for him, Jay said.

- Oh!

- Yeah, I bought the house and I want a different settings.

- You know I'm really won't be able to help because I'm taken up these three weeks but if you are in a hurry, my assistant can help you.

- Kam, you already have the drawings since that house was on the market. They are beautiful. I think that Matt could wait, Jay told her.

- Jay, whose house it is, yours or Matt?

- It's mine and I can wait when you are free.

- You see, he is not in a hurry, what do you say?

Kamilla was again trapped and could not say no. So she agreed to meet with Matt in three weeks time.
