Chapter 5

As usual when Kamilla was taken up with a long term and demanding project, Robbie stays with her parents during school days. The following day, when she called at her office, Doris was not at her desk. When she entered her cabin, her twin, was already therein.

- Hey, your assistant let me in thinking that it was you and also compliment me on my haircut.

Kamilla was astonished and remained silent. Seeing that she was not saying anything, Kathy continued:

- Don't be angry with her. It's my fault that I came here knowing that you don't want to talk to me.

- No, it's okay. I was telling myself that I had to call you but did not have the courage to do so, said Kamilla.

- If you are taken up, I can come some other time, you know.

- Why don't you come at my place tonight, say around 7:30, asked Kamilla.

- Sure that will do.

After having a long and stressful day, Kamilla arrived home at 1900 hrs. She ordered for Chinese food and then took a shower before the arrival of Kathy.

When Kathy arrived, she was relaxed and fully prepared to listen to her twin.

- You have a wonderful place. Its feel very homey.

- Thanks, I've already settled my home loan and now I can breathe, said Kamilla.

- I met Robbie. He is a very sweet boy. He told me that you and I are alike. When I asked him he might be confused with us but he said that you are his mom and no one could replace you. He is very confident.

- He is my bundle of joy.

- I have missed you, sis. And I'm happy that I am back.

- I don't know what to say. Really, I'm happy, angry, sad and helpless. I told myself when I'll see you, I'll crush you but I can't do anything. I really want to know how you could do it to me.

- It's a long story. We could have dinner first then I'll tell you all.

- Okay.

So after having dinner, Kathy told her that whilst they were in france, they met with a road accident where Paul died. She was in coma for two days and when she opened her eyes, Matt was by her side. On being examined, she has forgotten about meeting Paul and recognized only Matt. The doctor told her that she was pregnant. As she was wearing my ring and a same one was on Matt's finger, she thought that he was her husband. Matt wanted to tell the truth but the doctor explained it could be dangerous for her state of health.

We came back home and announced that we were married. You were not here, we returned back to France as Matt had to undergone an operation due to the accident. She was disappointed with Kamilla as she was not here to share her happiness nevertheless could not leave Matt alone. After Matt operation, she noticed that he was not behaving like a normal husband. She started telling herself what was wrong. One day, whilst going through his laptop, she saw several photos of Matt and Kamilla together and hers and Paul. She was distressed and could not even ask Matt who was not at home. Whilst having a personal discussion, she has regained her memory. When Matt was back, she was in a very depressive state. He took her to the hospital where she found that she has lost her baby who was the only reminder of Paul. She started to drink. Matt was very caring toward her. Two years later, the parents of Paul came to see her and after a long talk with them, she decided to go to a rehabilitation centre. Matt supported her. He was working in France and his cousin was looking for his office in New York.

- A year after having been through a long treatment, I took courses on accounting and from there, I began to support myself. Last month, I took a decision and told Matt that I am going back home. He told me that he also had to go back because his cousin is taken up and could not replace him for long.

Whilst listening to Kathy, kamilla was crying. She took her sister in her arm and told her:

- I'm sorry Kat, if I've known what you were going through I would be there.

- Never mind, I'm back now. The K twin will rock.
