Terrance grabbed a coat hanger in rage from the closet started shoving Bethany's hands between it. She yelled in distress, but her wails meant nothing to Terrance now.

"Please stop. They're already bound. I'm not trying to escape!"

But he would have none of it. Once her hands were in between the space of the hanger, he twisted it. Bethany started to cry. He took the tie he had taken off and started to strangle her with it. She gagged and coughed trying to pry the tie off herself. Her fingers kept digging into her own throat as she tried into grab the tie around her neck. Soon there were marks or red and white as her face started to turn a shade of sickly blue. Terrance watched in joy and laughed as he watched her struggle, like a fish out of water.

When she was almost to the point of complete suffocation, he let go. She gasped for air and tried to feel her throat through the taped hands. There was a ring of bumpy red skin around her neck as her face started returning to its normal color. Terrance kicked her face back gently and started to come towards her. He was inches away from her face when Bethany suddenly kicked him in the jaw. He was taken aback and jolted backwards. She took this chance as a moment for escape and painfully got to her feet. She limped to the door and turned the knob with her hands still bound. Terrance grabbed her leg to try and pull her back but she kicked him away. She ran out the closet to the stairs and went downstairs. As she was going down, she realized she left her phone upstairs with Terrance. She couldn't go outside to look for help-it was too dangerous to leave Harper alone with Terrance. She ran to the living room where Harper was lying with his eyes open. She looked at her bound hands. Desperate, she started gnawing at the tape with her teeth until it was loose enough to be taken off. She grabbed Harper from the crib and ran into the kitchen. The window from the kitchen looked into the neighbor's patio. Thinking hastily, she grabbed a hammer from the cabinet underneath and broke the window with a loud smash. She hit the window once or twice more until there were pieces of glass shattered all about. She heard Terrance coming down the stairs and picked up Harper to run out of the house. Too late. Terrance blocked her exist as she stammered back into the kitchen.

"No more playing games. Enough is enough."
