WINTER CASUALLY DRANK HER MINT TEA. She was sat next to Wanda Maximoff who looked as equally as bored as she did.

The team was in Lagos hoping that they could finally get their hands on Rumlow and his group of mercenaries.

Winter noticed Wanda's blue-green eyes scanning the entire table for a packet of sugar which she so graciously found next to Winter's tea cup.

It was extremely silent at the table but the atmosphere around them was alive and well. It was astoundingly warm and it gave Winter some kind of comfort.

People were chatting amongst themselves as cars bustled around the busy streets, merchants selling their products to earn money to provide for themselves.

Their lives were normal. She wanted a life like that with Steve but she couldn't have it.

Winter eyed her surroundings cautiously while sipping the well over warm tea that was alive placed in her grasp.

Steve's voice came through the earpiece that was hidden by her brown-almost red hair.

"Alright, what do you see." He wasted no time getting into business. Steve was very serious when it came to work and getting something done. He was sometimes playful but managed to always keep his guard up.

Wanda cleared her throat and looked around before adjusting her black hat. "Standard beat cops." The Maximoff looked around once more. "Small station."

Winter looked over her shoulder to see two police officers speaking to each other, "Quiet street."

Winter shrugged and added something, "Looks like a good target."

The same familiar deep voice was heard through the earpiece once again, "There's an ATM on the south corner which means...." He trailed off, waiting for either girls to finish his sentence.

Winter sighed deeply, setting her teacup down,"Cameras." She sing-songed.

"Both cross streets are one-way." Steve informed the girls.

Wanda shrugged, putting two and two together, "Compromised escape routes."

Winter sat anxiously in her seat. She was worried that a person on the team would get seriously injured.

"Means our guy doesn't care about being seen." Captain America corrected Wanda's false assumption."He isn't afraid to make a mess on the way out."

"Makes our job so much better." Winter muttered sarcastically with an eyeroll.

On almost every mission she was on, there was always someone else's mess they had to clean up and take the stupendous blame for.

"See that Range Rover half way up the block?" He asked, continuing with work.

Wanda and Winter looked around the streets until their eyes landed on a beautiful car.

"Its cute." Winter said simply, spinning a silver silver spoon on the table, keeping herself occupied from the temporary boredom.

"Its also bulletproof," Natasha Romanoff's voice was heard through the earpiece for the very first time." which means private security, which means more guns, which means more headaches for somebody. Probably us." She quickly ranted.

Natasha and Winter were not quite close as friends but they worked together great. There was never a problem between the two. They worked like civilized woman and never held a grudge against each other.

Wanda narrowed her eyes straight ahead as she took a sip of her tea. "You guys know I can move things with my mind, right?"

Winter raised both eyebrows, "Wow, really. I didn't know. Fun fact; I can make things go 'pow', 'sizzle' and 'boom'." She spoke sarcastically to which resulted in Wanda playfully giving her the finger.

"Guys, get back to work." Steve sighed, irritated with the girls behavior.

"Winter, anybody ever tell you that your sarcasm gets a little much in situations where it's not appreciated?" Sam's voice joined the conversation.

The brunette shrugged with a deep sigh, "All the time."

"Eyes on target, folks. This is the best lead that we've had on Rumlow in six months and I don't want to lose him." Steve informed it as if it wasn't obvious enough.

Winter got up from her seat next to Wanda and slipped on her sunglasses. "You sound like a stalker ex girlfriend."

Natasha visibly cleared her throat. "We all know that'd be you if Steve ever broke up with you."

Everyone laughed, Steve included.

"Yeah, okay."

"Sam, you see that garbage truck?" Steve didn't wait for Sam to finish. "Tag it."

Winter walked a few feet away from Wanda and clapped her hands rapidly, "Its happening."

The brunette loved feeling like she had some sort of power. It always brought her to a place of dominance.

"That trucks loaded for max weight." Sam informed the group. "And the drivers armed."

Winter kicked small little pebbles with her black sneakers, "It's a battering ram."

Steve's breath hitched, "Go now."

Wanda was just utterly confused, she quickly sat up in her seat and furrowed her brows,"What."

"He's not hitting the police."

To that Winter took action and ran to the IDRI as quickly as she could. She dodged the people slowly walking and the objects in her way. Her legs started to burn but she was so close.

She came to a halt as rubble and concrete flowed the entrance pathway.

Two yellow vans were entering at fast speed and adrenaline rushed through her.

She took off her sunglasses and threw them to the ground, the palm of her hands emitting a burst of red and orange. Fire.

Her eyes went from green to a bright red in seconds and she couldn't be stopped. She was completely on her A game.

Winter looked up to the sky and saw a small ball or red, white and blue that became bigger and disappeared inside the unit. She quickly ran in, hearing the screams and hollers of children and adults.

The brunette got there just in time and saw Steve kick a mercenary into a building.

"Capsicles got legs." She breathed out, still trying to regain her normal breathing.

Steve rolled his eyes and ran off, patting her back before she followed.

Winter blasted fireballs at incoming mercenaries and they quickly turned into dust. They didn't have time to feel the flames slowly consuming them and burning away their flesh. They saw dark as soon as it reached them.

Fireballs and blasts of lighting were thrown about and Winter had more adrenaline building up in her system, it was a rush.

Wanda quickly did a weird motion with her hands as dark green fumes of gas came out of the large cement building all the chaos was in front of.

Two rockets blasted from Sam and hit two Jeeps with for mercenaries behind them.

"Well damn, Sam." Winter sighed as she casually walked to the pair.

He laughed playfully and waved her off, "Just do what you do best."

And that's what she did.

Destroy.
