"Ireane!" I yelled, hopping down the last few steps into the tall squid by the door.

She stumbled back, but gripped onto me, "Whoa, whoa, little bud! You almost took me down!"

Her familiar chuckles soothed me as she set me down. "Sorry, I'm just happy you're home!"

"Speaking of which," I heard my mom and looked at her, "Where were you?" Her arms were crossed and she looked a little mad.

"I was helping out a few people- they needed someone to watch the areas around town while the Zapfish went missing," Ireane smiled, calm as ever, "I had to help cover the areas that didn't have surveillance."

"Where was that?" Leo asked and Ireane picked him up with a grin.

"Somewhere super dangerous! I was like a super hero!" Leo's eyes sparkled at her words and we all laughed, letting her humor the child.

"I didn't know you lived here, Ireane...!" I heard Dairo shout from the stairs, her feet quickly making their way down, "I should have known from the moment {Y/n} said your name!"

"Oh, Dai-dai! How long have you been here?" Ireane asked, nudging the smaller girl.

"How long have I been in your house, or how long have I been your neighbor?" Dairo asked smugly.

"Wait, the only person here with kids besides mom is... Yo! Yuki is your mom!" Ireane slapped the girls back, "Why didn't you tell me!"

They both laughed before the rest of the crowed followed- specifically after Midori launched down the stairs into Ireane, Hisu coming after, and the rest more calmly, walking down the steps.

"All you little dudes should've told me you lived near! I would've visited!" Ireane was laughing, ruffling heads, and smiling gleefully.

Everyone followed in her positivity and beamed at the sight of her. "Hey, yo, {Y/n}, I got something for ya." I was surprised when she directed her attention to me, "A little early for presents, but It's special."

I blinked at her as she held her hand out with a rectangular, wrapped package. "Oh... You didn't have to sis."

She smiled and leaned down to my ear, "I got a present for Leo but yours is more important- we'll talk later." She stood back up to her tall height and smiled like nothing happened.

"Alright, who wants to play some video games!" Everyone smiled and Ireane looked at me again, "Boot up the game, will ya? I gotta talk to mom for a minute."

I nodded and she walked off into the kitchen with mom. I shrugged off her weirdness and gestured everyone to the living room, "Come with me, we can play some Smash."

Midori was immediately on my back, holding my hand into the room, "Oh, can we do five stock? I like playing with five stock!" I smile at her as she bounces in her steps.

"I guess if everyone agrees...?" I looked at the others as they were getting seated on the floor, Leo in Dairo's lap. They smiled and nodded.

I smiled- everyone was so friendly... Wait, no, pay attention- I cleared my mind and pushed the small package Ireane gave me into my side pouch, pulling out the casing for Smash Brothers from the cabinet. The Wii beside me was on and ready to take the disk so I pushed the game into the slot.

"Alrighty, game is in! The wiimotes are in the nightstand beside the couch, so you guys can go ahead and grab them," I shuffled the door closed and took a seat on the couch behind them as Midori passed out wiimotes, "Ah, sorry, we only have four, but I'm sure we can share?"

They looked at each other for a second and smiled, "I think it'll be perfectly fine, {Y/n}," Konao spoke for everyone and gave me a pat on the arm.

I froze at the gentle gesture, sweat making its way on my face, "A-Ah, t-thank you, all."

"Hey-hey, squidos, mom's got some drinks in the fridge, so feel welcome to grab your own." Ireane threw herself on the couch with a soft thud, "I called up Yuki for you, Dai-dai, she said it's cool that you stay until she's home."

"Ah, thank you, Ireane!" Dairo smiled and smacked Hisu on the shoulder, "Told you my mom was cool."

Hisu scoffed and set his mask on the table, "Please, no mom on PTA is cool."

Momo stood suddenly and shuffled her way to the kitchen quietly.

"Um, where is she going?" I asked, head tilting in confusion.

Komura fixed his glasses, turning to me, "She's going to get a drink."

"O-Oh..." I sat back up straight and Ireane nudged me.

"Get down about questioning and I'm pushing you off of the sofa," She lightly kicked my leg to justify her statement, smirking about.

I let out a soft laugh at her gesture, "Sorry, sorry, you know how I am."

"Speaking of how people behave," Konao turned to look at my sister, "You are super secretive- we didn't even know you lived here."

"Hey, I gave clues, don't be a salty squid." Ireane lifted her hand, twirling it to emphasize her air, "Let's be honest, I'm not the only secret cephalopod here."

Midori propped herself up on the sofa, "Oi, don't tease us! You never asked!"

Ireane's hand patted the green girl, "And neither did you Mimi."

"Back..." Momo uttered her greeting, handing a soda off to Komura, keeping one to herself.

"So, now that Pinky's back, we can start off the games!" Ireane shot finger guns at the console with a wink.

"Right," I picked up a wiimote and started, "You said five stock, Midori?"

  "Yeah-ha!"
