Unexpected (Harry Potter fan fic)

Chapter 3

*Scorpia's P.O.V*

We soon arrived at the castle. We walked up to the entrance hall and into the great hall. I said goodbye to Chloe, Rebekah and the twins and walked over to the Slytherin table.

The crowd went quiet and we watched as the first years get sorted.

Dumbeldore started his speech. But was then very rudely interrupted by a toad.

I looked over at Chloe and Rebekah. They looked annoyed that someone could so easily interrupt Dumbeldore.

She started saying about us being great friends. Yeah right, just because I have two friends from Gryffindor doesn't mean I don't have standards.

Dinner finally finished and I started my walk back to the Slytherin common room.

Just as I was about to open the portrait door, I heard someone call me, or to be more specific two people.

"Scorpy" one said.

"Wait" the other one said.

"Up" the first one finished. I turned around to see the twins.

"Hey, I hate to ask this and all but what are you doing here?" I ask.

"Well we heard you and your little friends like to prank. We also noticed that none of us like Umbridge so from now on we thought we could work together to make her time here a living hell!" Fred said happily.

"Sounds fun. Sure, I'll meet you two with Rebekah and Chloe. Goodbye then" I said.

"Sure, where will we me-" George began.

"Just, trust me I'll see you tomorrow, bye now, we're attracting attention" I said quickly. There was a line gathering as I was blocking the portrait hole.

"What's the hold up" my twins vice came booming towards us.

"Nothing, they were just leaving" I say quickly. I'm not scared of my brother but I don't want the twins to get in trouble.

"Go back to your Gryffindor common room" Draco sneered.

"Don't tell us what to do, Malfoy" Fred said, angrily.

"Fred, just leave it. Bye see you tomorrow" I told them.

"Stay away from blood traitors like them, Scorp" Draco said.

"Since when do I listen to you?" I asked.

"Well not me but how about father? What is it he says every year?" he asked.

"You wouldn't dare. You know you'd get in trouble to for not telling him sooner" I said.

"Just listen to me Scorp. Take this as a warning. They are nothing but trouble" he said.

"Thanks but I can make my own mistakes" I seethed. I was furious. "Goodbye Fred, goodbye George".

They walked away and I stormed into the common room. I walked up to my room that I shared with some annoying Slytherins like Pansy Parkinson, who tried to be my friend but its obvious she only wanted to be friends because she likes my brother.

I got changed into my tank top and pyjama shorts with special embroidered Slytherin crest. Of course, they were silver.

I crawled into bed and fell asleep.

I woke up at half six the next morning. I got up, showered and got into my Slytherin robes, with a skirt, white shirt and Slytherin tie. I put on some pumps and put my wavy hair up in a messy ponytail.

I walked down to the great hall alone. It really sucked having no friends in my house.

As I entered the great hall, all eyes were on me. Probably because I passed the Slytherin table and went to the Gryffindor table instead. Hey, it wasn't against the rules.

I sat down, in between Fred and George. Then I looked down at Beccy and Chloe.

"Beccy, Chloe, come over here" I called across to them. They both got up and came over. "The twins have a proposition for us".

"They told us" they said.

"So what do you two say?"  I ask.

They both grin. "Definitely" they say at the same time.

"Okay let's get started in planning" I say. We all made plans, including ones involving their own products.

When breakfast was over I went to all my classes. Last but not least (only kidding it is) defence against the dark arts with the toad.

"Wands away, quills out" she said. "Copy this down please"

She flicked her wand

I walked into the class and sat down next to Beccy and Chloe. We were waiting for toad to come in.

"Time for some back chat girls, what do you think" I said. They smirked and nodded. Then toad walked in.

She flicked her wand and 'Professor Umbridge' came onto the board.

"Wands away, quills out" she said. The class groaned. "Write this down please".

She flicked her wand again and more writing appeared.

'Course aims:

1.Understanding the principles underlying defensive magic.

2.Learning to recognizance situations in which defensive can legally be used.

3.Placing the use of defensive magic in a context for practical use.'

After we had written it down she ordered us to go to the first chapter of our book.

Then I decided to annoy her. I put up my hand and noticed I'm not the only one. Hermione Granger had her hand up, as well.

She seemed to not notice Hermione and asked me "what is it miss..."

"Malfoy. I was just wondering why the symbol for Ravenclaw is an eagle?" I asked.

"Well, what would you like if to be?" she asked.

"I don't know, maybe a raven?" I asked, sarcastically. The class sniggered.

"Five points from Slytherin" she said.

"What, I was just asking an innocent question" I said.

"Just read the chapter before I make it detention" she told me. I went back to my reading.

Then Hermione had to question her course aims. This started a whole argument with Harry Potter bursting out and saying,

"So according to you, Cedric Diggory just dropped dead".

"Cedric Diggory's death was a tragic accident" Umbridge said.

"Sounds like your birth" Rebekah muttered, loud enough for the whole class to hear. She was still sore on the whole Cedric Diggory thing. The whole class sniggered.

"Five points from..." she trailed off waiting for a reply.

"Hufflepuff" Rebekah said.

"Five points from Hufflepuff" Umbridge said.

I burst out laughing. Umbridge was too easy. This was going to be fun.
