"Kill her? I am not going to kill her!" I yelled
"Then we will just kill your little tiger!" He snarled.
"No!"
"Kill her!"
I was crying now. How was I to kill a little girl, that had barely began her life? I couldn't do it, but I also couldn't let Tigriss die. It was my choice though. Take a life or give up a life. I looked at Tigriss, then at Melody. Poor little Melody. I made up my mind, and chose her.
"Fine, I'll do it." I whidpered and slowly picked up the knife.
The man smirked at me. Little Melody whimpered. I knelt down in front of her and hugged her, positioning the knife between her shoulder blades. I felt hot, salty tears running down my face.
"I'm sorry. Please forgive me, Melody," I said.
"I forgive you," she said, right before the knife split her skin.
I let go of her. She smiled at me, stumbled, and fell forward. I caught her, and kissed her head. I layed her down, then stood up and faced the man. He was smiling at me.
"Are you happy now?" I snarled.
"Yes, I am," he said, then raised something up.
It was Tigriss. I rushed forward but it was too late. A boom echoed through the trees. Then I blacked out.
