Siena:

"Just go, I'm sure you'll love it."

As I walked up the stairs to the gigantic building filled with sweaty kids, caked faces, and wanna be "cool kids", I utterly regretted waking up that morning.

The stairs had about 10 steps to them and were about 5 feet wide, a couple inches tall. At the top of the stairs were two glass doors leading toward the cafeteria.

Considering it's my first day, at Elk High, I'm proud of myself for remembering that much.

See, my whole life I've been homeschooled. Yeah, I know I'm that weird homeschool girl with no friends besides two 40 year olds. Personally, I think I have a descent amount of social skills, so just bear with me.

I've never been the new girl. It's actually quite terrifying. I mean these people have known each other their whole lives. They've made their groups of friends, and groups of enemies. I feel as though this school is a tank filled with hungry sharks...and I'm the bait.

"Oh, you must be the new girl. I'm Casey, nice to meet you!" Casey was obviously one of the "jocks". He wore a black letter-man jacket with a cloth stitched "E" on the front left side. "I'll be showing you around the school. So that means if you have any questions, just ask me."

"Ok, thanks. I'm new to this whole public school thing so it's good I have someone. Oh, that sounded weird. I meant like someone I can ask questions and get an answer to," I spoke mentally face-palming

So maybe I don't have any social skills. Well hey, you try coming into a whole new school atmosphere and start talking to a really attractive boy.

"Who's that?" I ask as Casey leads me into the cafeteria.

"Oh, Cameron. He plays on my basketball team. CAMERON COME HERE!"

The tall, dark haired boy casually walks over, resting his body against the table, flashing a smile towards me.

"Hey, who's this?" Cameron asked pointing to me.

"I'm Siena." I respond looking down. Why am I so nervous now, is it because of him. Is it because he's so completely gorgeous, or is it the "social skills" kicking in again.

"Well, I'll let you guys get to know each other. I'll find you later Siena." Casey said waving his hand.

"Wha...but...nuh...Case?" I groaned, but he was already out of sight.

"So you're the new girl?"

"Yeah, I guess."

"Oh, that's cool. I'm Cameron by the way."

"Yeah."

"Are you nervous or something? I don't bite haha."

"Is it that obvious?"

"Here, come with me."

Cameron took my hand and walked over to a table filled with 5 boys and two girls. They all stare at me as I sit down.

"Guys this is Siena, she's new here."

"Hey, I'm Spencer. OH MY GOD I LOVE YOUR HAIR!" Spencer was one of those girls who, just by looking at her, you could tell was popular.

"Awe thanks. You're really pretty by the way. Sorry if that sounded creepy. That sounded creepy. I'll just go find Casey," my face immediately turned a bright shade of red.

"No, it's ok. Really, stay. But please...you're way prettier than me! Your boyfriend is a lucky guy."

I couldn't contain my laughter as she finished. Everyone just looked at me with this "what-the-hell" kind of look.

"Me? Have a boyfriend? That would involve having someone like me," I replied. Out the corner of my eye I saw Cameron's mouth turn from it's original frown into a smile. This big, goofy smile.

"I think someone already does," Spencer giggled with a smirk. What is she talking about? Someone already likes me? Who?

"Oooohhh Cameron's face is turning red! How cute!"

"Oh shut up, Austin!"

Austin was also a basketball player, or so I assume by his basketball attire. But did Cameron really like me? I'm ugly, why would he?

"I'm Austin by the way, Spencer's boyfriend, not just some creep holding her hand by force."

"No, please, help me! He's a rapist!" Spencer laughed.

"Oh haha. Well I should probably go find umm...Casey. He's supposed to show me around the school. It was nice meeting you guys," as I waved goodbye and turned around, something took a grip on my arm. I turned back to find none other than Cameron holding my phone in his other hand.

"Hey, you dropped this."

"Did you put your number in it?"

"Of course." He said with a wink that left me speechless. If I wasn't good at socializing maybe I'd be good at flirting.

As soon as the last bell rang, telling us to, basically, get the hell out, I ran to my locker. I wanted to text Cameron honestly but I thought that would be weird. I got home about 20 minutes after school ended.

I went straight upstairs to go to my study room, but took a detour and decided to take a nap instead. God, public school tires you out.

I woke up 5 hours later.

"DAMNIT!" I yelled as I slide my phone over towards me.

4 unopened texts from 'Cameron<3'

appeared on my home screen. Rubbing my eyes I opened my message app so quickly my phone froze. Which, quite honestly, put me in panic mode. Luckily, Cameron had only texted me 5 minutes ago.

*Hey, it's Cameron.*

*I hope this is the right number*

*Sorry I'm texting you a lot*

*Can we talk?*

I texted Cameron back the minute I finished reading the last text. Two minutes later my phone buzzed.

*Taking naps I see. LOSER! Haha I'm just kidding:). But on a serious note. I know I just met you today but I do really like you.*

I re-read the text about 50 times. I couldn't believe it. Someone so hot actually likes...me?

*Thats unfortunate because
I'm gay.* I responded. I quickly sent another text right after saying, *I'm completely joking, I promise I'm straight. I like you, too:* *

*That's good. So I was wondering do you wanna see a movie with me Friday, or tomorrow actually haha?*

* I would love to. Pick me up at 8 :)*

*Alright :), see you tomorrow beautiful*

*Night cutie:* *

See I told you, I got this flirting thing down.

I rush to sleep, hoping tomorrow will come faster.
