Alone [Cameron Dallas]

Chapter 7♚

Siena:

I woke up to an unfamiliar room. To my left was a bunch of machines, and to my right a tube was stuck in my arm.

"CAMERON?!"

Cameron came sprinting into the room. He grabbed hold of my hand and kissed my forehead.

"What's wrong?!"

"Why am I in here?" I asked trying to sit up but failing miserably.

"Babe, lay down. You just fainted. A little de-hydrated that's all."

"Oh, how's Casey?" Cameron's face drained.

"He's umm...well he's not gonna, he's not doing well."

"There's nothing left they can do, is there?"

"I'm so sorry."

I didn't cry. I just sat there and starred at the wall.

I wanted to cry. I wanted to force myself to break out and feel it. Feel the pain. But I couldn't. I couldn't feel it.

"When I first woke up, I thought I was dreaming, ha. I thought everything was ok. Also, I thought those ladies were going to hurt me."

"Don't worry. I would never let anyone hurt you."

I leant up and kissed his lips.

The doctor came in shortly after and told me I could leave.

After I finally got changed Cameron walked over to me and grabbed my hand.

"Siena Rose Johnson, this is the worst timing to ask this, but I feel because of everything that's already happened it's necessary, will you be my girlfriend? Well to make it official."

"I wouldn't want it any other way."

I walked into Casey's room while Cameron wrapped his arms around my waist from behind. I held my hands over his and leaned my head back into the crook of his neck. Casey just lied there unmoving.

I unwrapped myself from Cameron and walked over to Casey. I grabbed his hand and his eyes immediately shot open. His head turned to the side and his eyes locked with mine.

"Hey beautiful. Don't cry, it'll give that pretty face wrinkles." He laughed lightly, poking at my forehead.

"Casey I..."

He began coughing again, this time with blood. The nurses ran in and told everyone to leave.

"Doctor let her stay...please." He said pointing to me.

"I'm afraid we can't. I'm sorry."

"Let. Her. Stay."

"Fine, but please put these on."

The nurse handed me a pair of gloves and I slid them on as quick as I could.

I kept hold of his hand. He closed his eyes softly and took slow breaths. Suddenly the monitor next to me went off and the line went straight.

I kept hold of his hand as the doctor tried to pry my hands off.

I finally released and the doctor shoved me out the door. The doctor tried everything to bring him back. Knowing he was gone I let a tear fall out. I watched as the doctor shocked Casey's cheats one last time.

Cameron:

I saw the way Siena looked at him through the window. So much pain and hurt behind those eyes.

He wasn't moving. Every-time that thing touched him he didn't move. Over and over again. I couldn't take it anymore. I stepped away from the door and walked down the hall. I sat against the wall and cried.

"WHY HIM?! WHY MY BEST FRIEND? WHAT DID HE DO TO DESERVE THIS?!" I knew I wasn't going to get answer, and making a scene wasn't going to help.

"Are you ok sweetie?" A lady in her late 50s asked me.

"I wish I could say yes. But no. No where near being okay."

"May I ask what's happened?"

"My best friend has or had cancer."

"Had? Isn't that a good thing?"

"No. Not at all. I...he's in the room right over there and I think he just passed away."

"Oh my sweetie. I'm so very sorry."

"Thank you."

I began crying again. The lady put her hand on my back and began rubbing it up an down.

"Cameron?! Please come now!" Siena yelled from outside Casey's room.

I walked down the hall. I kept my eyes locked on my feet. I only lifted my head to see Siena holding her hand out for me to take.

I grabbed it and we walked into Casey's room. I couldn't see him because everyone crowed around him, so I just stood back by the door. Eventually, everyone moved so I could look.

"What the fuck?!"

"Hey Cam! You look like you've seen a ghost." Casey coughed out.

"I thought...you...I just saw you die man."

"Yeah but I'm alive now."

"God, I don't even know what to say." I ran up and hugged him, gently knowing he would be weak and in pain.

"Just say you're happy to see me, breathing."

"Well of course I am."
