Dear Corinne,
I won't be at school today. Partly because I was up all night walking. Mostly because I was walking in the direction of 436 Young Street.
Actually, I lied. I took the bus from Albion to Churchill. Now I must walk. It feels better that way- more official. Also, I don't know the bus route that far and I didn't think to look it over before I left.
I wonder if they've noticed I'm gone yet, or if dad has pieced it together. I guess it doesn't matter. It feels like time has stopped.
The sun is rising and tinting everything a chilly shade of gold. I'm sitting by the smeared window at a Tim Hortons, listening to a chickadee, muffled slightly by the glass. The snow is melting nicely. It's perfect.
I'm going to meet my mother.
Love,
Leigh
Ps. Sorry there's grease on the paper a bit... I ate a cheese bagel toasted with butter and there was so much butter that it dripped. But, hey... I'm eating.
