"What the hell!" He spat. I jumped up and ran to the corner. My head turned from Chris and Eric back and forth. Oh NO! Chris stormed up to Eric and pulled him up by his arms.
"What the hell man!" Eric spat as he straightened up eye to eye with Chris. Both chests rumbling with steaming anger.
"What’s you're problem?" Eric growled.
"What’s my problem? Hmm let me see. How about the fact I found you getting cosy with MY girl!" My girl! What the hell! He doesn’t own me!
"Chris!" I shouted. There’s heads both snapped to my direction in surprise. Like they forgot I was right here. There was no point in arguing.
"Eric is my friend!" He shook his head.
"So that gives you the right to sleep with him! The fact that he's you're friend!" Chris grumbled.
"I didn’t sleep with him. I haven’t slept with anyone!" I sneered.
"Yeah right!" He scoffed.
"EVER!" I teared. Both their faces had shock and surprise but also with regret. I looked away and sat where I was.
"Are you serious?" Eric asked.
"YES!" I growled.
"Sorry" I nibbled at my lip in embarrassment. Waiting anxiously for them to come to terms with what I said.
"Babe I’m sorry, I over reacted! I’m sorry. I should have believed you no matter how bad it looked. I should have waited for an explanation. I’m so sorry!" He kneeled next to me. I opened my arms as he nestled his body in my chest. I clung tightly around his neck.
"Do you want me to explain?" I smiled.
"Yes and I believe what you say. If you say you didn’t then I know you didn’t. No matter how what it looks like!"
"Yeah I know it may have looked bad. It’s just Eric had nowhere else to go. Rachel was hassling him so I said he could stay here." I laughed.
"Why was Rachel bugging you? I thought you two were... you know together?" Chris puzzled.
"We were until I found her with some guy last night!" Eric shrugged off. At least he was getting over it. Quicker than I thought. But still it was good Rachel no longer had her claws on him.
"God she hasn’t changed then!" Chris said in disgust. Eric looked at us in confusion. I looked at Chris with a death glare!
"What do you mean? Did you know her?" Eric asked. Chris looked at me then suddenly realised his mistake.
"God CHRIS!" I shouted. I was a little pissed. I didn’t really plan on telling the whole world.
"Sorry I just thought I don’t know maybe you told him. I know you guys must be pretty close and I presumed...."
"Yeah well you presumed wrong!" I turned to face Eric. He was trying to follow along. He knew he had missed something.
"Um do you mind telling me please? I mean I think I have a right to know. It’s about Rachel I’m sure!" He pleaded.
"Fine. I wasn’t actually planning on telling anyone else. I mean it didn’t really matter until now because I know that you will believe me which is a change." I looked at them back and forth.
"Long story short. You remember Rick!" Eric looked at Chris for a short second then back to me, which left me wondering why?
"Well nobody actually knows the real reason we broke up. I found him cheating on me with.... Rachel!" Eric’s eyes bulged as he gritted his teeth.
"Wait you broke up with him? And that’s when you drifted from our group and started being a loner!" He pointed out.
"NO! I didn’t drift away. I was fucking out casted. The day after I found them together! I had no one!" I snarled.
"You could have stayed with me. I would have stuck with you!" He argued.
"You wouldn’t have believed me! No one would! You would all just believe what she told you to believe!" I pointed my finger at him. I saw his face fall into sadness. I guess I went too far.
"I’m sorry it’s just I was treated that way because I was gullible. That’s all" I stepped up and left them to have my shower.
As I ran my shower I could hear low whispering. I leaned closely to catch a few murmurs.
"Is that true? Eric asked. His voice astounded. I waited intently for Chris's reply.
"Yeah I think" He paused.
"She was really cut up before she explained it to me. Why would she need to lie to me? She hardly knows me!" Chris continued.
"Yet!" Eric interrupted. I blocked out their conversation. It didn’t make sense. After my shower I quickly changed into my vintage grey jeans, black suede boots and my purple, silver stripped shirt. I brushed my hair and my teeth. Stalling as much as possible. I was hoping they had gone down stairs by the time I was finished fumbling around aimlessly in this large inadequate bathroom.
I figured I had wasted enough time. I was relieved to find my room empty of human existence besides myself as I stepped in. I paced downstairs to find them both sitting at the kitchen table. They both turned to look me up and down. Reluctantly I eased in to grab an apple. Quick and easy way of avoiding unnecessary conversations is go to school. I offered to drive them and they happily accepted.
After Eric and Chris got dressed at their house I pulled up to school. As we stepped out I caught a glimpse of Rachel and her entourage of miscreants. I knew from the beginning this would be a long day. With Chris on my left and Eric on my right I felt ready for anything. Fury steamed from her as she stormed her way in front of me. Patiently we waited for them to reach us. A wide grin stretched across my face.
"Who the hell do you think you are? Kidnapping my boyfriend from me! You little slut! Don’t you understand? No one wants you. And neither does 'MY' boyfriend!" She shouted. I could feel Chris tense and Eric shook with pain.
This is what she does to people? How can they let her do this? Why do they let her treat everyone this way? They all adore her. That’s not right. That’s not how things should be. Why do they get to be the cool ones? Why do they decide whose cool or not? People let them walk all over them because why? They are all apparently the best? NO! Its time it changed. There was no way I would let this continue to happen. Rachel's reign of terror is over! It’s payback time!
