It had been two months since In Na was discharged from the hospital and she spent all that time looking for the boys, which turned out to be harder said than done. In Na went through everything that Jin left at her apartment, but that wasn't much help, and Jin's apartment had already been taken care of by the time she got there the day after she left the hospital. Everything that had been important to him was on his phone which had been lost in the accident. In Na tore her apartment apart for any hint to where the others would be.
Frustrated and exasperated In Na kicked her bag across the living room. It erupted in a shower of daily female supplies and shopping receipts she hadn't taken care of yet. Raking her hands through her hair she moved across the room to pick it up, but as she collected the receipts she saw one for a gas station across town. As the memory came back to her In Na jumped to her feet, grabbed her backpack and ran out the door.
When she finally arrived at the gas station night had already fallen and In Na was starting to question whether she should be doing it at all. As she slowly approached the business a car pulled up at the pumps and Rap Monster stepped over to service the customer. In Na felt lucky just finding one of the six boys, but as she watched the customer throw their payment out the window and drive off she felt that luck slipping away.
Rap Monster removed the lollipop that was in his mouth as he leered down at the money. In Na could see the anger inside him as he dropped the sucker on top of the money.
Swallowing the anxious feelings inside her In Na jogged over to the guy as he turned to leave.
"Hey Rapmon," she said.
Stopping the guy turned around to see the girl waving as she hurried after him. He sighed as he shoved his hands into the pockets of his jacket and turned to face her.
"In Na-ya," he said. "What are you doing here?"
"Uh, well," she stammered. "I thought I would see how you were doing."
"I'm fine," he replied.
"Are you sure? You look tired," she commented.
"You're one to talk," he said. His tone was dark with none of the humor she had come to hear from him.
Laughing uneasily In Na brushed her black hair out of her face. Playing her part now was more important than getting upset. They were both hurting.
"I guess you're right. I've just been busy looking for," she trailed off.
How did you tell a best friend of your dead boyfriend that you were carrying out his final wish without sounding crazy. In Na wasn't even sure if Jin really wanted her to do this. It had just been a vision when she was slipping away in the ambulance.
"Looking for what?" Rap Monster questioned.
"Ah, I've been looking for you guys since only Jungkook visited me at the hospital, but I realized I don't know where anyone lives and my phone was lost," In Na replied.
"Sorry about that. It's been. . ." he started.
"I know, that's why I stopped by," she said.
They stood there for a while in an awkward silence until Rap Monster turned to leave once more.
"If that's all, I'll be going first," he said.
"Wait," In Na called.
Pausing he glanced back at her.
"Can you tell me where the others are? I want to see them too," she said.
Adjusting the brim of his hat he said, "Checking on them too? We're not kids anymore In Na-ya."
"I just want to see how they're doing. That's all," she stated.
Rap Monster's eyes narrowed at her for a split second before he huffed and pulled out his phone.
"Thank you," she said.
"It's not for you. It's for Jin."
"I know."
