There were many reasons In Na expected the police to call her for; hiding a body, sabotaging the accident, for one of the two boys she put in the psych ward, but as she stood in the station she still couldn't believe why she was there.
"Miss this way," the officer motioned.
"Right," she nodded.
She followed the older man to a desk where Rap Monster and V sat handcuffed on one side and he sat on the other. In Na hadn't seen either boy in almost a week, they had gotten good at avoiding her, so why was she the one called to post bail?
"Sign these papers and handle the payment up front then they'll be free to go. Punks," the officer said.
Accepting the clipboard she was handed In Na said, "Yes sir. Thank you for taking care of them."
As In Na set to work filling out the form the cop asked, "So whose girlfriend are you? You're not angry enough to be a sister."
"Yah!" Rap Monster yelled at the question.
"Stupid jerk," V clicked his tongue.
In Na felt like if it was another time, a different place, then maybe she would have flushed and beaten the both of them for being disrespectful. But now, in that moment, In Na could only shake her head and feel like she was doing more harm than good.
"No sir. I'm nothing like that. I was just their senior in school," she replied.
Rap Monster scoffed something under his breath that In Na pretended she didn't hear as she quickly finished the forms.
"Hey you brat! You should be respectful to the person posting your bail," the officer barked.
"I pay up front, you said," In Na questioned to change the atmosphere.
"Yes," he said.
After about five minutes the boys were uncuffed and were leaving the police station with In Na trailing behind them. As they started down the street they picked up their pace like they could leave her behind, but In Na wasn't going to let that happen.
"Hey," she called.
Jogging to catch them In Na saw V mutter something to Rap Monster and he nodded. She grabbed the backs of their jackets before they could take off and stared them down. Neither glanced back at her with humor, it was all darkness.
"What's been going on with you guys? Why was I called?" she questioned.
Rap Monster pulled free first as he hissed, "You can leave now."
V yanked out of her grip with slightly less force before following after Rap Monster.
"This doesn't change anything," V added.
Stomping her foot In Na ran after them and smacked them both in the back of the head before standing in front of them with crossed arms.
"You both are too old to be acting this way. Rebelling like children is not going to fix anything," she stated.
"Who do you thing you are?" Rap Monster yelled.
"What have you done since then?" V challenged.
"I'm trying to fix this! You don't think I'm hurt too? I didn't ask Jin to do what he did, if I could have stopped him I would have. Don't you realize that? You're only hurting Jin's memory by doing all this," In Na fought.
Rap Monster was seething while V looked ready to explode. In Na stood there panting and trying not to breakdown, but the tears were prickling forward.
"Do you even have the right to say that?" Rap Monster said.
With that he and V continued around her without saying anything. In Na released a shaky sigh as she spun around to watch them go.
"Have you guys at least seen Suga?" she called.
"Ask Jungkook," V yelled.
As they went Rap Monster smacked V in the shoulder with a muffled insult that In Na couldn't hear.
Shaking her head she turned for home as she whispered, "I should have asked which one remembered my home number. I didn't even know any of them knew it."
