In Na couldn't move, yet she didn't fight. Before her were seven boys laughing and having a good time.
She blinked and they were gone.
Now she was staring across a white room at a boy curled up on a bed. Tilting her head to get a better look she recognized him as Jin. She tried to speak, but no sound left her mouth yet the boy's eyes flew open like she had called his name.
A joy filled In Na for a moment, but then the room was gone and she was staring at a new scene. It was a restaurant with a group of noisy boys at a far off table. In Na knew them immediately.
They were goofing around, laughing, throwing fries at one another. It was a vision of happier days. In Na tried not to laugh at the antics, but it was hard when V was dancing on the table.
Then she blinked.
Suddenly it was the middle of the day and In Na was standing on a set of train tracks. Yards away she could see the seven boys walking along the tracks just chatting. In Na's heart clenched at the sight.
Then it was night again, and the boys were running through a tunnel laughing.
She blinked.
They were lounging in their hangout.
She blinked.
They were driving a car in circles just messing around.
She blinked.
They were laughing.
She blinked.
They were sleeping together.
She blinked.
They were always together.
Never apart.
In Na was never among them. She wasn't there.
She blinked.
She was back in the white room with Jin, but he didn't seem to notice her. He was focused on the petals burning on the floor in front of him. In Na tried to speak again, still nothing left her mouth, but she mouthed her words anyway.
"I'll fix things Jin. I'll help them, I'll save you! I swear I'll save you this time."
