Marinette POV
I woke up slowly, yawning as I stretched my arms and legs and then snuggled closer to something warm. Wait... something warm? I whipped my head around to look at what I was snuggling closer to. Adrien. Adrien was sleeping next to me. I blushed and looked at his face. He was so peaceful and innocent. I decided to start to clean up from last night when chat and I watched a movie. I smiled as I walked around in a daze, thinking of our little hangout. In my daze, I dropped the huge pan we used for noodles that was on the counter. It crashed to the ground with a loud clang.

"Aaah!" I heard a loud scream and a thud as I guessed I woke Adrien up. I cringed, and peeked my head out from the kitchen to see Adrien sprawled across the floor, rubbing his head.

I rushed over to him and held out my good hand for him. He took it and I helped him stand, and he was still rubbing his head. "Sorry, Adrien." I looked at him with concern, but he just laughed.

He waved his hands in defense. "No, Marinette. It was kinda my fault for sleeping so late." He sheepishly rubbed his nape, smiling brightly.

We both stood there in silence, for what seemed like an eternity. Suddenly, we both burst out laughing, soon we were clutching our aching chests from laughing so hard.

It broke the awkward silence, and once we both calmed down a bit, Adrien said, "So... uh... should we open up the bakery?" He walked to the door and opened it for me, gesturing me to follow.

I walked out the door and said back, "Absolutely." He closed the door behind us and we walked downstairs together to the bakery.

As we were getting our aprons on, I gathered my courage and decided to ask him. "Adrien?"

He turned to face me with a smile. "Yes, Marinette?"

I sighed and stood up straight. "Why were you sleeping with me on my couch earlier?"

I stared at him for his response, and he seemed a bit shocked at the question. "Well... I was here early and I was a bit tired so I accidentally fell asleep on your couch when I was gonna wake you." He acted really flustered, and I knew he was hiding something, or was really embarrassed.

I looked over him skeptically, then smiled. "Okay. Let's just get to work." I went into the kitchen and started to get bowls, pans, ingredients, and other tools. Adrien came in and started to help as well, and we had fun baking together. We were laughing and spending time together like good friends.

We opened up the bakery soon after, and served all of the customers together. We worked so well together, and we both had fun and smiled throughout the day. At the end of the day, an old lady came in. She looked just like the ideal grandma, nice and sweet. I greeted her with a warm smile. "Hello, what can I help you with ma'am?"

She looked in my direction and gave an even warmer smile of possible. "Hello, young lady. I would just like to buy some tarts. My grandchildren are coming over and I'm too old to bake anymore."

Adrien came out of the kitchen and bagged up some pastries for the old lady. He came to the counter and handed them to her. "Here you go." He gave her a smile, and she returned it as she took the bag.

"That will be $7.35, please." I said and she handed me the money as I put it in the register.

She looked at the both of us and smiled. Then she asked a question I never thought I would be asked. "Are you two related in some way? You work so well together, like cousins."

Adrien and I both blushed as we looked up. I was speechless, but Adrien quickly spoke up. "N-no we aren't related. Just good friends." He wrapped his arm around around my waist and pulled me to his side.

I blushed even harder and managed to smile. "Ya. Friends." I looked at him and he smiled down at me. I wanted to kiss him right there and then, the sum in his platinum blond hair, his warm smile, his face so close to mine.

But something interrupted my daydream. "Well, if you two kids aren't related, I sure hope you end up being more than just friends." And with the both of us still blushing, she left the store.

We looked at each other again, both of us blushing. Adrien smirked as he pulled me closer, facing him. "What do you say, Marinette? Want to be more than friends?" I blushed even harder at his question. I was so shocked and happy I couldn't even make a sentence. Not to mention I couldn't take my eyes off of his mischievous grin and playful eyes. He pulled away, and I felt cold without his embrace.  "How about you think about it? I'll be here when you have an answer." He winked at me and closed up the shop. He walked into the kitchen and started to clean up in there, I guess.

I was still so shocked. He wants to be more than friends? I mean I always have, but now he does too! And he was so hot just now. His eyes, smile, hair, everything just made me melt into a puddle of happiness. And he winked at me. Aaah...

I walked around the store cleaning up and throwing away the old pastries from yesterday. I put the leftover ones from today in their place. I collected the money from the register and put it in the safe we had for the bakery.

Adrien came out just then, and hung his apron up and grabbed his phone. "See you tomorrow Marinette."

I waved goodbye as he walked ou the door. "Night Adrien." He smiled at me and waved, then went into his limo.

I walked upstairs and sighed happily. "Tikki, today was AMAZING." She flew over to me and smiled. "I see you're happy. What was so amazing about today?" I told her what happened in the store with the old lady and then what happened next, and she smiled and listened the whole time. "It's great to see you back to your old self, Marinette. Sleep tight. I'm going to bed." She flew off to our room and I just sighed and looked out onto the balcony at the city.

This is the first time I have been happy since what happened. All because of Adrien. I should thank him. Maybe I can wake up extra early and make him something. With Tikki's help, of course.
