Chapter One
Beep, Beep, Beep!
The loud alarm clock brought consciousness to the two young couples laying in bed next to each other. The young man shuffled before opening his eyes to the beautiful woman next to him. He smiled aforetime saying, "Good morning."
"Good morning, Russ," Ashton smiled at her husband. "Do you have practice today?"
"Yeah, from 12-6," Russell said. "We have a big game tomorrow against the 49ers."
"Aw, that means you'll miss the kids' game this morning," Ashton sighed. "Speaking of them, I'll go wake them up."
Russell grinned before pecking his wife's lips. "I'll go wake the squirts up, you can get about fifteen more minutes of sleep."
"Thank you," she sighed in consent. " I love you."
"I love you, too, baby."
Russell threw the covers off and made his way down the hallway to the twin's bedroom. He caught sight of the two fraternal twins in the same bed. When Russell turned on the light, the twins cringed and shivered.
"Madison and Mason, it's time to get up, you don't want to be late for your big game today, do you?" Russell spoke to his young children.
The two sat up and rubbed their eyes with a small fist.
"Is it really time to get up, Daddy?" Madison yawned, standing up carefully in the bed.
"Yes it is, beautiful," Russell smiled and picked up his daughter, kissing her on the cheek. Mason fell on his back only to fall asleep again. "Mason, it's time to get up buddy."
Russell smirked before reaching down with his left hand and tickled his son. Mason erupted in a fit of giggles and soon fell off the bed landing on his stomach.
"You should've just gotten up, Mason," Madison told her twin casually.
Mason got up and announced, "I'm fined and I'm amped! Daddy, are you coming to our game?"
"Sorry, kiddos. I have practice all afternoon," Russell replied sadly. Madison and Mason only nodded sadly. They already knew this being the kids of a star football player.
He set Maddison on the ground next to her brother and questioned, "Do you guys need help getting dress into your uniforms?"(A/N: Mason and Madison's uniform in multimedia)
"We're not babies!" Madison whined.
"Yeah, we're five now!" Mason pumped out his chest proudly. Russell only laughed before exiting the room so he too could get ready for a big day.
"So, how did they react when you told them?" Ashton asked him.
"Well, they weren't too upset," Russell sighed. "They're probably used to it."
Ashton gave a soft smile before going over to her husband and drooping her arms around his shoulders. "They're very understanding, Russ. It'll be better off season, and when they start soccer and basketball season. Not to mention Mason's football season in July. Plus, the kids love mentioning to everyone they run into that their dad is the quarterback for the Seahawks."
She kissed his cheek before going to get dress for the day.
THREE UNIFORMS, ONE CASUAL DRESS, AND ONE HOT BREAKFAST LATER...
"Alright, bae, I have to go," Russell said, standing up with his bag in his hand. "And you two have fun at your game and play hard."
"We will, Daddy!" The two said in unison.
