Jaein lugged her luggages up the stairs to the second level, with Snowball following after her, where she knew the other guest room was at. It was at the other end of Jaejoong's room. She moved everything up to the new guest room. She went ahead to unpack her things into the respective areas. After working in the room for over an hour, and she had unpacked everything out from her suitcases, there was still no news from Jaejoong.

Jaein's thoughts: Don't tell me he's still chatting with Yuki... Who is she anyway? Let me go ask Auntie...

Jaein walked down the stairs, with Snowball following her, and she could hear the sound of Yuki and Jaejoong's laughter coming from the living room. She walked past and saw Yuki still holding on to Jaejoong's arm and both were smiling sweetly at each other. Their eyes sparkled when they were chatting. This was a side of Jaejoong that was new to Jaein. Even though they had spent three entire months living together in couple bliss, he never behaved like the way he was with Yuki now. It made Jaein uncomfortable and a bit jealous. She walked over to the kitchen, where she thought Jaejoong's mum would be at. Snowball followed closely behind her. It was a bit curious about the new house and wanted to wander around, but was obedient enough to stay near Jaein. Jaein found Jaejoong's mum in the kitchen preparing lunch.

Jaein: Auntie... Let me help you...

She went over and started helping Jaejoong's mum.

*Woof woof*

Jaein and Jaejoong's mum looked down. His mum was surprised to see Snowball beside Jaein.

Jaejoong's mum: Well... Who do we have here? You cute little puppy...

Jaejoong's mum bent down to stroke Snowball's fur, earning an excited lick on the cheek from Snowball, making her laugh.

Jaein: Oh Auntie... Snowball is my pet... I took him home when...

Jaein realised that she couldn't tell her the truth.

Jaein: I saw him when I was on my way back from school, alone and with an injured paw, so I took him back home and cared for him... I hope you don't mind that I continue keeping him...

Jaejoong's mum: Of course I don't mind... Snowball is so obedient... Hee hee... He should make Jaejoong happy... He loves dogs... But his dad never let him keep one when he was young... But when he was older, his dad was willing, but the fervour had already kind of died down, and he no longer wanted one...

Jaein's thoughts: I think he has something else to make him happy now... I think he's totally forgotten about me...

Jaein: I see... Well... Auntie... talking about his childhood... I noticed that Jaejoong knows your guest from Japan very well...

Jaejoong's mum (smiling happily): Yeah... They were childhood friends... Grew up together, went to school together... Until her parents wanted to migrate to Japan to expand their businesses...

Jaein's thoughts: So they are childhood friends... But they seem more close than that... The look in Jaejoong's eyes... It's different from how he looks at me...

Yuki: Are you ladies talking about me?

Jaein and Jaejoong's mum turned around to see Yuki walking into the kitchen.

Jaejoong's mum: Yuki... Come.. Let me introduce you to my friend's daughter... (turns to Yuki) Yuki, this is Jaein. (turns back to Jaein) Jaein, this is Yuki...

Yuki (extends her hand out): Hi Jaein... Nice to meet you... Are you staying over for the night?
