Maya is 22 and Josh is 25. They've been together since Maya was 16 (this plays off of the Joshaya proposal one shot I posted a while ago). Their wedding is July 29 (the day ski lodge aired 😉) Riley: *barges in Maya's room at her mom's place at 5 am* PEACHES WAKE UP. ITS WEDDING DAY! Maya: *wakes up and groans sleepily* huh? What? *realizes what day it is* ITS MY WEDDING DAY! Riley: *jumps up and down screaming* let's get ready! Maya: *rushes to the bathroom* I have to look good! I'm going to be Maya Matthews! Riley: *pulls out Maya's wedding dress and her maid of honor dress* have I mentioned peaches how much I love my purple dress? Maya: *peeks her head out the bathroom door* you and your purple cat obsession made it really easy for me to pick out your dress *winks*

Riley: *smiles* I'm so happy you found love Maya. Maya: even if it's your uncle? *raises her eyebrow as she comes out of the bathroom* Riley: *wrinkles her nose* I refuse to call you Aunt Maya *chuckles* Maya: *laughs* I'm too young to be an aunt anyways. Shawn: *laughs from the door* well your soon to be husband became an uncle at the age of 3. I think he takes the cake for youngest uncle. Maya: *smiles* My soon to be husband... how many more hours do I have to wait? Katy: *smiles* its 6 am right now. Your wedding is at 2 pm so only 8 more hours sweetie. Maya: *groans* I wanna be married now. Riley: *smiles* patience peaches! Time will fly once we get ready. Now let's get you in your dress and then we'll do hair and makeup. Shawn: remind me how I let you get a wedding dress that is revealing and tight? *rolls his eyes* Katy: oh shush! It's hot outside and she is not going to dance in a ball gown and sweat like she's in the desert! *laughs* Maya: *mutters under her breath* though I will be sweating tonight after the reception. Shawn: *hears her* I don't want to think about what you and Josh are going to be doing *shudders* yuck! Riley: *laughs* okay shoo so we can get the bride ready *unzips the dress bag* Maya: *smiles as she sees her dress*

Riley: I always knew you'd wear a dress that screamed "Maya". I knew you'd never wear the traditional dress and not make it edgy *smiles* Maya: *smiles* its perfect *puts it on* now let's do our hair and makeup!
Meanwhile with Josh and the boys getting ready at 10 am Josh: *tries to tie his tie with shaky hands* Lucas: need some help with that? *chuckles* Josh: *smiles* please? I'm nervous! Farkle: *laughs* why are you nervous? You've been together for 6 years. Josh: because we're going to be married. She's the love of my life. But I'm scared I'll hurt her somehow. Cory: baby bro you won't hurt her. Just stay by her side and you'll be good. You love her. You have since you were 10 and she was 7. Just don't forget what I said when I left Philly *winks* Lucas: *confused* what does he mean? Josh: *smiles* you'll find out later when I read these *pats his pant pocket where his vows are* Zay: explain to me again why we're all your groomsmen but Maya only has Riley? Josh: thunder and lightning. They go where the other goes *smiles* Lucas: *smiles* my girl is going to pop up at yours randomly isn't she? Josh: *laughs* yeah she will but I know what I signed up for when I started dating Maya. Are you sure you know what you signed up for? Lucas: *smiles* yeah. We've gotten a lot closer in the last few years. I'm glad. Josh: *chuckles* me too cowboy. Lucas: *groans playfully* jeez we have another Maya *laughs* Shawn: *smiles and looks at his watch* it's time Josh. Josh: how!? I thought it was 10? *palms start sweating* Cory: we've all been talking for hours. It's 1:45. You gotta be at the bottom of the aisle soon. Josh: *takes a deep breath* I'm going to get married.
2 pm everyone is seated and the music plays for Maya's cousin Zoe (made her up!) to come down the aisle as the flower girl and then it's Riley's turn. Riley: *comes down the aisle and whispers in Josh's ear* you better take care of her. Josh: *smiles* always. Maya: *hears the music to signal its time for her to walk down the aisle* its time dad. Shawn: *smiles* it is honey. Ready to be married? Maya: *takes his arm* I was born ready *walks down the aisle* Josh: *mouth drops when he sees Maya* whoa. Feeny: who gives this woman away to be married? (Yes Feeny is officiating) Shawn: her mother and I do *places Maya's hand in Josh's* Feeny: we are gathered here today to see the union of Joshua Gabriel and Maya Penelope. Two individuals I have come to know very well. I have seen them grow up and I've seen their love grow. Seeing them in love reminds me of another Matthews boy *winks at Cory and Topanga* I have been told they have written their own vows. Maya would you like to begin? *smiles* Maya: *smiles* I didn't have the easiest childhood. My dad left me and I didn't think hope was worth it. I thought it was for suckers. Then one fateful day I met my best friend and met her adorable uncle who is only a couple years older. I loved that little boy the second he gave me half of his sandwich. I never gave up on him even when he kept telling me he was too old for me. But then came a day when he told me he liked me too. The day that showed me that hope isn't for suckers. We made a promise for someday but someone couldn't wait any longer. My 16th birthday was the best birthday. The man of my dreams finally confessed that he was in love with me and we started dating. Now here we are 6 years later. I love you Joshua Gabriel Matthews. I have loved you the moment I laid eyes on you. I can't wait to be your wife, the mother of your children, and your partner for the rest of our lives *smiles and wipes a couple tears* Feeny: Josh, it's your turn *wipes tears from his eyes* Josh: I will never forget the day I met a sassy cute 7 year old girl with the most adorable braids. I gave her half my sandwich and I knew I was a goner when I heard her sweet voice say thank you. I always liked her and wanted to tell her but I couldn't. I watched her grow up into a beautiful woman. When I saw her again that Christmas when I was 17, I was in deep. I loved her. I knew I was gone for. I couldn't tell her. Not yet anyways. That trip to the ski lodge was the last straw. I had to let her know I liked her too. When I said I like you too Maya, it was a lie. I should've said I love you but I couldn't yet. I had to wait until we were both older. That year was the hardest year of my life. I knew you were in the city and knowing you truly liked me, it killed me that I couldn't call you mine. But on your birthday I said fuck it and I made you mine. I love you Maya Penelope Hart Hunter. I have loved you for so long and I will never stop loving you. I promise I'm not going to leave you. I promise I'm going to stay no matter what. I promise to always love you. My brother told me when I was young that one day I would find a girl who's like Topanga. My own Topanga. My soulmate. And I found her when I was 10.
