Joshaya Meets Someday

A/N: for those who are reading my story "The Long Game to reach Someday", this is totally unrelated to how Joshaya will meet their someday in that story. Enjoy!

It's Maya's 18th birthday and she spent the night with Riley. It's been three years since she and Josh agreed to someday at the ski lodge. Maya never lost hope in their someday and she hopes Josh hasn't either.
Maya: Riles what if Josh isn't in the long game anymore? I mean today is my birthday... what if he tells me he's over me? *looks worried*
Riley: *frowns* it's obvious that he still likes you. You two text all the time. He'll be at your party tonight. Just talk to him *hugs her*
Maya: you're right. I'm Maya Hart. I'm the one who goes for what she wants. And I want Josh *smiles*
Riley: well I know it'll go well peaches *smiles*

Skip to the party (it's at Topanga's)
Maya: *talking to Farkle and Smackle when she feels someone cover her eyes* AHHHHH!
Josh: *chuckles and whispers in her ear* guess who ferret.
Maya: *pulls Josh's hands away from her eyes and turns around to see him* BOING! *hugs him*
Josh: *hugs her tight* happy birthday gorgeous.
Maya: *looks up at him* do you know which birthday this is? *smiles*
Josh: *smirks* your 18th.
Maya: yup. No longer a kid *smirks*
Josh: *hands her a gift* open it Maya.
Maya: *opens the gift and gasps* Josh it's beautiful *pulls out a heart shaped locket that says "someday is now"* help me put it on?
Josh: *helps her put it on and leaves a kiss on her neck* did you see the engraving?
Maya: *takes another look at the locket and looks up at Josh* you for real?
Josh: *nervous* yes. I love you Maya Penelope Hart. I always have. I am an idiot for pushing you away. I don't know what I was thinking. I want you forever. Will you be my girlfriend and start our someday?
Maya: *jumps in his arms* YES! *grabs his face and kisses him*
Josh: *kisses back and tangles his hands in her hair* it's been the hardest three years babe.
Maya: *looks at him with tears in her eyes* I know boing. I just have to say these words that I've waited years to say.
Josh: *smiles hopeful* what's that baby?
Maya: I love you too Joshua Gabriel Matthews. Always have and always will. You're it for me.
Riley: *witnessing the whole thing* ITS ABOUT TIME! *squeals*
Joshaya: *turns around and blushes when they see everyone looking at them*
Shawn: you hurt her and I'll kill you with my bare hands *glares at him*
Josh: if I hurt her I end up hurting me. She's my everything. I can't bare to hurt her *looks at Maya* our someday is now ferret.
Maya: yes it is boing *kisses him* best birthday ever.
