"Do you think you can just do that freely now?" I mumbled, flushed.

"Unless you don't want me to." Dazai said innocently, batting an eyelash.

I bit my lip, not knowing what to say.

"That's what I thought, anyway." Dazai continued , shrugging.

"You're so cocky." I muttered, smiling.

"Am not!" He defended.

"Are too. You just don't know it." I mumbled.

"I can still hear you!" Dazai said.

"Whatever!" I shouted. But, I looked at the ground and smiled.

"I just found you chained up and we're already at each other's throats." I laughed.

"But let's just go. Yosano and Ranpo were supposed to be coming inside." I continued.

"You two aren't going anywhere." I turned around and got up quickly.

I puffed out my cheeks slightly and stared at the woman in front of me.

"Lalisa, why are you here?"

"I would've come earlier, but I didn't want to interrupt your little make out session."

I didn't say anything.

"Idiot." Dazai stated, interrupting my thoughts.

"What?" Lalisa fumed.

"I said you're an idiot." Dazai repeated slowly, irrationally stretching out each syllable.

"I know you called me an idiot!" Lalisa

"Or do you?! Hm? Scandalous!" Dazai grinned and walked up to Lalisa, fingers in the shape of a microphone.

"Shocking news! Lalisa -whatever her last name is-, has no jams, and doesn't know what idiot means!" He

"Would you like me to spell it out for you? i-d-"

"I know what idiot means! And what do you mean I have no jams?! I have plenty of jams where that came from." Lalisa protested, balling her fists by her side.

"Dazai. You really are something." I said, resting my hand on my hip.

He turned to me and grinned.

"She obviously still doesn't know I mean. Tell her what it means for me, Y/N?" I passed him a look, but he just grinned wider.

"Fine."

"So, an idiot can be described as someone who's name is Lalisa, looking 22 acting 78, um, oh! And also she thinks she's cool." I grinned.

Lalisa was fuming.

"Listen here you little b-" I swiftly brought a gun out of my waistband and positioned it against her forehead.

I sighed and chuckled in relief.

"Phew. I didn't think that'd work. Thanks Dazai." He made finger guns at me and I turned back to Lalisa.

"So? Continue that thought, it sounded like you were going to say something very nice about me." I dared, arching a brow.

"I was going to say, 'listen here you little banana' but whatever keeps your world spinning." Lalisa sneered.

I smiled.

"Your world won't be spinning much longer if you keep up the talk." I threatened.

"Y/N." Dazai warned, taking a step closer to me as he realized his small plan had gotten a little out of hand.

"So, Lalisa. What's it going to be? Let us go or say goodbye." I clicked the gun barrel into place and she flinched.

"I bet you couldn't do it." Lalisa whispered, her voice shaking.

"Never tell anyone what they can't do." I whispered, putting my finger on the trigger and shooting.

Lalisa let out a small gasp in surprise as her hands flew up to her head.

Dazai looked disappointed.

But, Lalisa brought her head up, her hands flowery feeling the perimeter of her head.

"Maybe I'm just dreaming. Maybe I'm already dead and I'll just see my dead body soon." She sobbed.

I glanced at Dazai, who was still giving off an aura of disappointment.

"Lalisa." I whispered softly.

I sighed and kneeled down next to her.

"You're right. I wouldn't kill you." I said, smiling tightly.

I stood up and popped the back of gun off, before turning it upside down and letting nothing fall out.

"Y/N, I thought you-"

I continued, "Not even you could've expected that."
