"Actually. The warehouse seems too small for him to be hiding in don't you think?" Dazai said quickly, all of the sudden second guessing himself.

I looked at Dazai with a doubtful look.

"I don't know. You picked it."

"Well I guess it wouldn't hurt to check.

I shrugged and started walking towards the building.

His words stumbled for a moment as he asked from behind me, "Uh, hey, Y/N?"

"Yeah?" I asked facing him with a raised eyebrow. His expression settled and he shook his head

"Nevermind. Let's just go." He caught up with me again and we began walking.

"Um, ok. Well, what would Akutawgawa want with the port?"

"It's his favorite place." Dazai reminded me..

"Oh yeah." I sighed out, irritated at my forgetfulness.

When we came up to the door, we stood there into Dazai asked, "Well come on! Are you going to open the door?"

"I thought you were going to open the door."

"No! This place is dirty!" He replied, scrunching up his nose.

"Well I'm not opening it!"

"What, why?"

"Because I don't want to!"

"He'll have heard us by now!"

"Well, we're looking for him anyway! So it doesn't matter!" I huffed.

"I guess, but who's opening the door?!" Dazai replied, laughing. He grinned and pushed it open with 2 fingers.

"You guys are so loud! Won't you be quieter?" Akutagawa yelled, storming up to Dazai and me.

I stepped back, surprised.

"You had something to do with all of this! I know it!" Akutagawa accused, pointing a finger.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Dazai replied, an innocent look on his face.

"You're at least trying to be innocent," I mumbled, resisting a smile.

Akutagawa's head turned to me. "What?"

"I didn't say anything," I shrugged it off, making him glare at me.

"You're the reason I'm here! In this, place! You have something to do with this! You're only supposed to be here! And, you," Akutagawa trailed off and looked at me.

"What? What about me?" I taunted him, anger bubbling in my stomach.

"You, you shouldn't even remember him!"

"I don't! But that's none of your concern."

"It's all my concern!"

I scoffed, mumbling, "You're just in denial,"

"Stop muttering! It's so annoying!"

"Get used to it, fish brain!" I spat, not realising what I had said at first.

Dazai snorted, making us stop arguing and look over at him. "Sorry, but, fish brain?" Dazai repeated in disbelief, trying to hide his laugh.

"We're right next to sea aren't we?" I told him, the tips of my ears turning red in embarrassment

"But, fish brain?" Dazai just laughed, leaving me embarrassed and Akutagawa irritated.

Akutagawa took a last glance at us, growling as he turned away, "Keep it down or leave."

I tried to grab after his coat as he stepped away. "You can't just go!"

"Watch me." He called out, disappearing behind a corner shortly after

"Watch me." I let out a short breathless laugh. "What kind of idiot."

Dazai cut me off, putting a finger to his lips as I stopped mid-sentence. "He's with someone." He told me quietly.

"Really?" He nodded.

We snuck around a few corners, and how Dazai heard someone else from this far away, I'll never know. But, true to his word, Akutagawa and a woman were standing just beyond us.

He seemed antsy as he told her, "They're here."

"Okay." The woman said, nodding.

"Okay? What do you mean? Isn't this what you want?"

"Of course it is." She nodded, looking up to give him a dangerous smile.

I heard Dazai whisper accusingly from beside me, "He didn't,"

"You're really pissing me off! They're here like you asked and you aren't going to do anything?" She nodded, seeming distracted as she looked at the corner we were hiding behind.

"Dazai?" I gave him a worried look, as I saw the same expression reflected on his face as well, I began to get a little scared.

He pushed me up into a run, "Hey—"

The woman's slender figure appeared in our sight just as we hid behind a shelf. I tried asking him something when he cut me off, telling me to be quiet.

The woman looked around the corner we were hiding behind moments ago, mumbling, "Oh, you're not here?"

"I guess I'll have to tell Atsushi and Kunikida you didn't show." She mumbled again, slightly annoyed as her lips turned up in a grin.

I realised what she was trying to do, but I couldn't tell Dazai in time.

"Wait!"
