I fluttered open my eyes, coughing instantly. My throat felt dry as ever, as if I had just swallowed a mouthful of sand.

I could still feel the sharp pain in my head before I blacked out, making me wince. I tried raising my hands to my head, but only one came. My other hand felt stuck, in fact, my whole arm felt stuck. What happened?

I opened my eyes fully and inwardly gasped at the coaster I was stuck in. It was leaning on its side, the safety latch that went over my body still attached. It was partly open though.

My head was resting on the round part of the safety latch. I tried to lift my body, but my head ached like crazy. I swear it felt like dying over and over again. I winced even more.

I looked up and could see wreckage everywhere. Parts of the track and tons of other stuff lay scattered across the ground, and it was deathly quiet. Where had everybody gone? How long was I out?

Questions buzzed in my mind until I froze at the the sight of a tan forearm peering out from underneath the coaster. Maybe this person could tell me what happened!

I yelled, quickly thinking it was a bad idea,"HEY!! YOU ALIVE IN THERE!?"

What if the person wasn't alive?

That was one thought I couldn't handle. Death after a fun time at an amusement park?

I screamed at it yet again, but no one stirred. A dark spot on the arm caught my eye, and I strained to see it better. I gasped, suddenly feeling sick. It was a large trickle of blood, that formed a pool to the ground.

That person really was dead.

I thought about myself, what if I end up like it?

I looked at my arm that was stuck under the coasters weight. It felt alittle stingy now.

Keeping my mind off death, I forced myself to be occupied with getting the latch off. Using my good hand, I grabbed it tightly and tugged on it hard. After one struggling push, it lifted up with ease.

Suddenly my whole body slid a little downward, and a brief moment of panic engulfed me. I gripped my legs tighter to the corner seat and it stopped me from going down more.

I sighed, how am I supposed to get off the coaster without hurting my arm? It was already hurt, though. Plus my head.

My legs were starting to cramp, and I knew I didn't have much time.

I'm going to have to fall horizontally.

Taking a deep breath, I lessened my leg grip until I was completely off. I tried to maneuver my whole body sideways, and I ended up banging my head on the latch and then sliding to the ground.

The grass I lay on felt dry and dusty.

I tried to get up, but my stuck arm sent a flurry of pain through itself. I screamed and dropped down, no way am I getting up again. Not until I get my arm free. But how?

Hope seemed to get farther and farther away as I kept tugging at my arm, until I heard a rustling near me. It seemed muffled.

Was that a person?

My question was answered as I heard a voice yell,"Hello? Anyone there?"
