My sweaty palms clutched against my golden Michael Kors purse. I stared down the street, waiting to see a orange Lamborghini pop up from the corner.
My whole body was tingling with nervousness. Does my hair look good? Is my skirt too short for the rides? Does my outfit colors match well enough?
It must be easy for Cody, he doesn't have to put on all this glam and make up and shit. Speaking of him, an orange Lamborghini swerved around the corner, heading down my street.
I squealed as it slowed down and Cody gassed the engine twice. Vroom, Vrroomm
He unrolled the shade window and popped his own pair of shades down on his face to glance at me. I smiled diva-ishly at Cody and strutted towards the passenger side of the car door. He opened it gracefully and patted his hand on my seat twice.
Just as I grabbed onto the top of the car to get in, the front door opened. I frowned. They should've known that I was going out tonight, unless...aw, crap.
"LLLIIIINNNNAAA!!!" My annoying sister was running down the street towards me.
She came full force at me and hugged my waist tight, almost causing me to stumble. Tears were creasing down her cheeks as she looked up at me,"I wanna come with. Why didn't you ask me!?"
I tried to be serious, though it was hard when your own sister is bawling her eyes out.
"This was meant to be just for me and my boyfriend, Casey. You can always go another time."
"I don't want to go another time!" She shouted at me,"I want to go now!"
"Mom and dad wouldn't allow you to go this late anyway," I reasoned with her.
"It's not fair!" She pouted.
Impatience soared through my body, and I could tell Cody was having the same problem. He gave me a lets-go look and I nodded at him.
"Look, sis it sucks for you and I'm sorry about that, but this is my time. Not yours. So your going to have to respect that." I pointed back towards the house. Mom and Dad were both waiting outside, yelling at Casey to come back here.
She glared at me and stomped back towards the house.
Dad raised his head and waved at me,"Have a good time, Lina!"
I smiled at him before closing the car door. We drove past the house and I could faintly hear mom yelling something at me,"Don't do anything innapropiate!"
Like I would do that! Meaning today, obviously. I put my head out the window and gave her a horrid look,"Mom! I don't do those type of things."
Cody laughed at me,"Oh I'm sure that's true, from what I remember the past two months."
"Ok, maybe I wasn't on my best behavior-"
"As if-"
"but that doesn't mean I'm like that all the time," I protested.
I really wasn't like that. I mean like sure, I'll go to all the crazy highschool parties, get drunk once in a while, hump others while dancing, and dirty talk all the hotties, but does that really mean I'm a naughty person?
"Sure, what about that one time with Cameron and Carter?" Cody probed.
By now we were out of my rich neighborhood and driving through the busy streets of downtown. Tall buildings lined the highways, the area completely lit up by vibrant assorted colored-lights. Our car was just one of many cool styles.
"What 'one time'?"
"When you were between the guys all humpin' an' shit,"
I widen my eyes,"Oh god. That time? I was just in the moment, ok?"
He muttered something I could barley catch, "What if your always in the moment.."
"Huh?"
Cody swiftly glanced at me,"Nothin'."
I nodded mysteriously. Cody always tells me what's bothering him. I don't know why he didn't now.
I stared at my brown short heel-boots quietly. Cody turned up the pop music, my mind secretly dancing on the inside to Taylor Swift 'Bad Blood'.
Cody had turned off the highway and started nearing farther away from the main city, entering sharp grasslands.
We were chatting away when suddenly I saw a green rollacoaster track rise up and back down in the distance. I shuddered.
Cody glanced at me and then the track in front of us,"Your not scared of that, are you?"
"It's just so.frickin.big. I mean who can ride those damn things!?" I said.
"Brave people and not chickens. And I know for a fact that you are brave enough."
"To get on that? Hell no that's deadly as hell," I stared horridly at it again.
Suddenly I felt a cool weight on my left thigh,"I'll be here to keep you safe, you know that."
My hand slowly clasped on top of his,"Well, maybe I'll try it once...but that's it. No other huge rollacoasters."
Cody let go from my grasp and leaned back extremely low in his seat, keeping his hands down and using his feet to steer. I stared at him and snickered. Sometimes he does the dumbest shit I've ever seen one do, and I love him for that.
We were stopped behind behind a long line of traffic also going to the same place. After paying the tax for a parking spot, we drove slowly into the parking lot.
I moved closer towards the windshield and looked at the towering roller coasters that awaited our presence, or at least Cody's.
The wild fun was just 100 feet ahead.
Thank you all sooo much for reading this and adding it to your library. This chapter became longer than expected, so the big surprise I promised last time will be coming next chapter.
