After their lewd and heated night, Wednesday afternoon, Jiyong and Armani went to a Café after school. Now that Jiyong quit, they've had lesser time to spend together. For Armani, it was a bad trip, and for Jiyong, it was a hassle. He sought Colleges left and right all morning. None of the schools in the district were hiring. But he did find a couple in Busan, in which was a four hour drive away from Seoul. He wasn't too sure about his decision on whether to stay or go. He just rekindled his relationship with Armani, affirming that things will get easier for them. At once, he has to advise her, hoping that she won't throw a fit.
Armani sat at a table and waited for Jiyong to bring back their orders. She was happy. Very happy. Sure she was still upset about Jiyong's choice to resign from his job, but at the stage they're in right now, after a marvelous night in bed, she couldn't be more ecstatic to have taken him back. Jiyong was her puzzle piece. Without him, she was incomplete. She thought that she'd be better off beyond his existence. She was effectively wrong. She won't ever doubt her true feelings for him again.
"Careful, it's hot." He said, prudently placing her medium Caramel Macchiato and Mozzarella Paninis on the table. She adorably thanked him in return before taking a small sip of her drink. She felt the burning sensation from the coffee as soon as it touched her lips.
"So! Did you find another school?" Armani asked.
"I searched all morning."
"And? Nothing?" She asked amazed.
"Well... Yeah. I found a few sites. Just not in Seoul."
"What do you mean?" She asked, setting her cup down after a drink. Her full attention was on him. And that's when he grasped that she didn't like where this was going.
"I mean... the only place they're hiring professors... is in Busan." He revealed.
"Oh." She said. She didn't seem all that upset by the news, but he knew she was torn up on the inside. If she didn't want him to go, all she had to do was tell him that. Going back and forth from city to city would be tiring, too. By the time that he'd get back to Seoul, he would be too exhausted to do anything with her.
"What do you think?" He asked, curious of her thoughts.
"Do it! Don't let me stop you!" She chuckled.
"Armani-" He said, remarking her counterfeit grimace.
"Babe, I'm totally fine with it. Busan is only four hours away. You can't always have me be in the way of your career. I mean, look what just happened."
He thought about it, and she was right. All he wants is the best for them. But that couldn't really happen if he was jobless. A ring crossed his mind many times. Yes. A wedding ring. He thought it was finally to propose to her. They've been together for approximately four years without dating other people. He loved her more than anything and he was most definitely committed. He just hopes she feels the same way he does. How embarrassing would it be if she said no? He had to make sure that she was a hundred percent on board.
He sighed audibly, "You sure?" She nodded with assurance and a smile. "I don't want you to get upset because you won't see me often or because I get home late-" He expressed.
"J, it'll be hard. I'll admit that. But I'll get used to it eventually. This is a new beginning for us. I only thought of myself even though I knew how important teaching means to you. I can't let that happen again." She said as she held his hands lovingly. A huge smile grows upon his face whilst he caressed her hands with his thumbs.
"Come here." He said, standing up from his chair to give her a kiss from across the table. She gladly did what she was told to do and kissed him back.
