6) Princess - Lay

Lay's POV

As I quickly entered my apartment, late at night from practice, I found my girlfriend, Y/N, fast asleep on the couch. She looked so peaceful in her sleep and I didn't want to wake her up.

I was a little disappointed that she fell asleep before I came home. I wanted to cuddle and talk to her.

I decided to wake her up anyway since she didn't look that comfortable on the couch.

"Psssst... baobei..." I whispered.

She didn't answer. Instead, she lay there, completely still, fast asleep. I had noticed a strange, warm aura surrounding her.

I placed my palm on her forehead to find that it was unusually warm. Aww, my princess is sick, but she still tried to stay up late and wait for me.

"Okay fine. I'll just carry you up then." I said quietly to myself.

I carefully lifted her from the couch and picked her up bridal style. She put her arms around my neck as she was starting to slowly wake up from her slumber.

"Yixing?" She murmured.

"Yup, it's me baobei. I'm just taking you upstairs since you didn't look that comfortable. You've also caught a cold, princess."

Her eyes slowly fluttered open and she looked up at me with her beautiful brown eyes. We've been together for almost a year now, but every time I get caught in her gaze, my heart still skips a beat. It's like I fall in love with her all over again. Everything she does is so graceful and perfect. She's beautiful in every way possible. To me, she's my princess.

As I enter the room, I slowly lay her down on the bed and made sure she was comfortable. I tucked her in and made sure she was warm.

I then went to the bathroom and took a shower after a long day of work. Soon right after, I would go back down and get her the medicine she needed to make her feel better.

Your POV

You sat there, dumbfounded. You didn't know why you were so confused. Sure, Lay was like this all the time, being sweet and gentle. But you couldn't help but get a little flushed because he took care of you so well.

You decided you wanted to spend some time with him before you both went to sleep. You sat up straight and made yourself comfortable, waiting for him patiently. Lay was taking a little long so you decided to check your phone, fortunately, you left it on your nightstand and not downstairs.

Unfortunately, as you sat up, your head was throbbing in pain and you dropped your phone. You tried to hold in your scream since you didn't want to worry your boyfriend.

You heard the door open and you looked over to find a unicorn standing in the doorway. You let out a small giggle because of how adorable Lay looked in his onesie. It hurt when you giggled as it made your migraine worse. You flinched from the pain.

He looked at you and smiled, the light from the hallway illuminating his face and showing you his dimples. He caught you flinching and rushed to your side.

You didn't notice him holding painkillers and cold symptom relief medicine in his hands. He placed them on the nightstand and sat down beside you.

He comfortably situated himself beside you, wrapping his arm beside you and pulling you into a hug and kissed your forehead.

"I'm sorry I woke you up, y/n." He mumbled.

"It's okay baobei. I stayed up because I wanted to wait for you to come home." You reassured him.

"But you're sick with a cold! You need rest, my princess."

He used both of his muscular arms to pull you closer towards him and cuddled with you. You stayed like that for a while until your head started throbbing again. You groaned from the pain.

Lay reached over to give you some of the symptom relief medicine first before handing you the painkillers. He watched as you slowly drank the bitter liquid, hoping that you would feel better, sooner or later.

After taking the medicine, he handed you the small bottle of painkillers and a glass of water. You didn't see him bring the glass in but you didn't think about it much as you dismissed the thought

You then took the painkillers and rested your head against his chest. He wrapped his arms around you one again and used one hand to stroke your hair.

"Baobei.." he started, "can we stay like this forever? I like it this way."

You let out a smile chuckle and reminded him that he had a job to do. His expression saddened due to the fact that he wasn't able to spend more time with you. Seeing him like this made you sad as well so you reassured him and told him that you'd always be there for him and that he shouldn't be worried. You loved each other and that's all that mattered.

You took another look at him and burst out laughing at his adorable choice of pyjamas. He sheepishly smiled and pecked you on the lips.

"Thankyou for taking care of me, my healing unicorn." You joked.

"Anything for you, my princess." He replied.

"Baobei..." he began, "you know, if you still don't feel good tomorrow, I'm going to take a day off right?"

You tried to tell him that he shouldn't and that you were grown up enough to take care of yourself. He insisted that he'd stay tomorrow. All for the sake of his wonderful princess.

Oooh 933 words! That's actually a lot... This is so far the longest chapter in the book!
I honestly hope it wasn't confusing. I don't really know why it might be but I always have a feeling its a little all over the place.

Awwh Lay in the unicorn onesie though hehehe

He's so adorable sometimes and I wanted to capture his dorkiness as well as his caring side in this chapter... I hoped you liked it!

Sorry if it wasn't as good. I'm feeling really tired and all due to the lack of sleep and stuffs but it's all good :)
