I Bite Karma

Santiago

I watched her carefully, her blue eyes filling with rage.

I knew what I said was right. I'm always right but her reaction says otherwise.

"So what you think you so much about me? You fucking hilarious, you think I'm some sob story? That I'm scared of something? You're an ignorant, arrogant son of bitch!" She spat in my face. I laughed, she thinks that I give a shit about her opinion.

"You get angry so easily," I said calmly. But she was anything but, her eyes became darker and her delicate face turned to a snarl at me, her upper lip curling.

It reminded me of an angry chipmunk.

"You're so fucking aggravating, all you mafia men know how to do is involve people in your shit that don't want to be involved in!" She shouted. She paused took a deep breath and her glare was icy as she looked at me.

"I'm not-" She clenched her fist tightly, "I'm not useful to you in the slightest, you want to kidnap someone that'll actually help you? Kidnap his slut, Saide Asher. She's on him all the time, she should way more than I do." She said coldly. I smirked,

"Aw does someone not get enough attention from daddy? How cute." I mocked, watching as her eyes flared in anger once again. "But you're the one that I have now, the one I could hang over his head if he doesn't give me what I want. And what I want is my money, and I want him to suffer for thinking he can snake me out of my shit. And you pequeño, are the perfect person to help me get all of that, because if he doesn't comply in one month, I'll burn him to the ground and throw you in the fire with him."

"You see there's a big problem in your glorious plan." She sneered, "I'm not my fathers weakness, he doesn't have one." Her voice calmed down, but it was deadly, like she despised saying the words. I walked closer to her, my steps slow. She didn't flinch, she looked at me her face void of any emotion.

"We will see then won't we?" I said, I gripped her chin tightly, forcing her to look at me.

"Every single fibre of my being is screaming to kill you, just because you're related to him. You think I give a crap if he cares about you or not? Wether he cares or not holds no value to me, you aren't bait. You wish you were bait, no pequeño, you are an example, an example of what I'll do to each and every member to that estate if he doesn't give me my money. Your death will be so slow, so agonizing you be begging me to end it, you will bend at my mercy, and when I finally end your life," I chuckled, "I'll send you straight to the fires of hell myself." I roughly let go of her causing her to fall. She looked at me, her eyes widening. Then she cleared her throat and crossed her legs on the floor, she looked away from me.

"You know what I realized?" She laughed dryly, "That you twisted fucked up men, are all the same." She leaned back on her palms, looking up and me, then around the room.

"You know what? I don't mind it here. Time away from my father. Kill me however you want, slowly agonizing or whatever, but karma will bite you in the ass and I hope it hurts like a bitch." I laughed. Loudly.

"That's funny, very funny. But what you don't realize is that karma is the least of my problems, karma might as well be my best friend. I welcome karma in fact." I turned around walking towards the door of her cell,

"I'll bite karma in the ass, not the other way around." Then with cat-like grace that I didn't know she possessed, she got up without a sound and with speed like a cheetah she did something I've never seen. From behind me she ran up and climbed up my back, her arms pushing off my shoulders and her foot kicking me straight in the face, staggering backwards I was shocked.

She jumped over me. She ran out of the room so fast and I felt my mouth curving up slightly.

I only walked out of the cell to see her speeding up the stairs. Ramirez ran past me and stopped in his tracks when he saw I didn't have the same urgency.

"Are we going to go after her or..." He asked. I threw my arm over my brothers shoulder guiding him up the stairs.

"Come on Ramz, don't you just love the thrill of the chase? We know she's not getting out of this house." When we reached the main floor, there was commotion everywhere. Every time someone tried to grab her she either ducked under them or shoved many of my men aside like they were children. She was heading for the first door she saw and fortunately, Marco was exiting the kitchen when they collided. He grabbed her by the collar and pulled her inches away from his face.

"Who are you?" he seethed, his thick Spanish accent mixing in with his English. She pulled against him,

"Let me go! I'm not telling you anything!" She shouted, Layla came out of the kitchen, the twins hiding behind her, watching.

Marco Vienna is not someone you should not shout at. He was a tall brooding man that had lost his wife leaving him alone with his twin daughters, the only two people her cared about. He wouldn't hesitate to kill you. Something caught his eye and he raised a hand and ripped the chain that she had around her neck roughly.

"Where did you get this" He said, I watched as all the anger and frustration crumbled instantly, turning into fear, she stopped struggling and started reaching for the chain.

"Give it back! I'll do anything just- just don't break it!" she said, Marco eyes became sharp,

"That did not answer my question girl. Where did you get this!" His voice echoed through the estate. His fingers were moving toward his gun.

"It's my mothers, she gave it to me when I was young please, just give it back. I'll do whatever you want!" She said quickly. I heard the way her voice broke. Layla caught my eyes and she came marching up the stairs, the twins hot on her trail.

"Nice one brother, now you've pissed her off." Ramirez said from my side when he saw the angered look Layla was giving me.

"Thank you brother. " I said under my breath as Layla reached me.

"Santiago, stop this now, I told you that no business happens in the main estate, the twins are right here!" She said harshly. I looked at them, and rolled my eyes

"Layla, clearly I tried to do that, but as you can see, " I motioned to Marco and Illianna. "I couldn't." Layla was the only person that could really make me do anything, she can be scary when she wanted to be. She was the mother of the estate, what she says goes, on absolutely everything. She gave me a look and I sighed walking towards the two.

"Marco, déjala, me ocuparé de ello. Dame la cadena (Marco leave it, I'll take care of it. Give me the necklace.)" I opened my palm, Layla trailing behind me. He dropped her roughly to the ground and he dropped the necklace in my hand.

"Míralo Santiago, ella lo robó (look at it Santiago, she stole it.)" I nodded and put the necklace into my pocket as he walked out of the estate. The twins peaked out from behind Layla and looked at her. I looked at the girl, her head was bowed and her fist were clenched, her hair was covering the expression on her face.

"I'll give your necklace back once you're done trying to leave, are you done?" I saw her knuckles turning white because of how tightly her fist were clenched.

"Yes." She growled. I heard the venom dripping in her voice.

"Good. This is Layla, she's going to look after you while you're here. Since you can't stay in one place, I'll put you to use, I suppose the staff could find something for you to do. You're going to work for me." Her mouth opened the she thought better of it and she remained silent.

"You will stay here until I get my money. You will tell me everything you know about your fathers estate, every single detail. Understand?" She nodded. As I turned to leave she spoke up.

"You can force me to do anything you want, but that necklace is mine and I want it back." I smirked without turning around I said

"Think of it as insurance that you don't leave before you're supposed to." I looked at Layla

"Darle algo que hace en la cocina y mantenenerla lejos de Marco (give her something to do in the kitchen, and keep her away from Marco.)" I told her before walking up to my office.
