Logic loses to anger
Santiago
For the next three days Illianna didn't leave her room. She made it clear that she didn't want to know what came of Nico, she didn't ask and like I promised, I didn't tell her. The hard part though was getting him alone, he found some way to weave himself with people rather than avoid everyone like usual.
I wasn't planning on killing him, I wouldn't gain anything from it, and I know Ramirez would have something to say about it so I decided that he won't die, today. I don't know what to do to him yet but I will when I see him.
I was finishing up work in my office when the door opened. Looking up I saw the man who I have been looking for. Nico entered the room with a cocky smile on his face, like he's been waiting for this. I didn't waste any time getting up and grabbing his throat. He seemed shocked.
I slammed him into the door and he raised his hands in mock surrender. "What did I do now? Or is this one of your tantrums?" He asked smartly. I slammed him into the door harder. The grip on his throat tightened.
"Doesn't this remind you of something? Someone else was in your position a few days ago." I seethed. I was getting angry by the second. I kept having to remind myself not to kill him but that sly smirk was getting on my nerves.
"Oh are you talking about the slut hiding in her room right now? I didn't mean to scare her that badly." His mocking tone made me snap, he was rubbing it on my face that he was able to get to her. Without missing a beat I pulled my fist back and rammed it into his face. I felt calmer once I saw the the blood flowing down is face.
"Why did you do it?" I growled.
He spat out blood on the floor next to us before speaking. "You don't even know who she is. I was doing you a favour." I sent another fist to his face before letting him drop to the floor.
"She's using you Santiago, what did she tell you? That she was raped?" He laughed. "She begged for it to happen." I didn't want to believe him, he was a liar and a snake.
"Shut the fuck up. You know nothing about her." He struggled to sit up but he still had cocky smile on his face.
"I know that her mother is being held in cells and she will do anything and everything to keep her dear fiancé happy to keep her alive."
"Why don't you think he's come looking for her yet? Because she's exactly where she's supposed to be. Ask her how she got to the place you met her, how all of a sudden when you were doing a deal with business she appeared." I grabbed his collar and pulled him to his feet, opening the door I threw him out.
"Go clean up." I told him. He left and I waited until he was gone before I left my office. Even though he was a cocky bastard what he was saying made sense. Why hadn't I thought about that? If he was obsessed with her he would've attacked by now.
I made my way towards my room, my steps were fast and tense. I tried not let my anger cloud my logic, I needed to be calm so I could go over the questions in my head with reasons and common sense. Why would she lie? If she was a spy why wouldn't she ask about anything concerning the mafia? She acts like she wants nothing to do with it.
When I got to my room I cursed, because Illianna was already in there. I didn't have time to clam down before I saw her and I knew that it's going to get ugly really fast. She looked up at me and smiled. She was sitting cross legged on the couch with a sketchbook book in her lap. She had paint on her clothes and a little on her face and I don't think she realized it. I couldn't even admire how cute she looked because she frowned when noticed my expression.
