Santiago
Illianna was poison.
She was corroding my brain but I had no control over it anymore. She was like a disease that had no cure, like a dessert without water, she was a mirage.
I didn't plan on kissing her last night, I didn't plan on telling her all the things I said, it didn't make them any less true, but still. It was like my mind was on overdrive, it couldn't comprehend how someone could be so angering yet alluring at the same time. It was overheating and I feared it was going to combust in my head.
Kissing her was nothing I've ever felt before, I didn't know how desperately I wanted to do util I did it. Her lips were soft to the touch, like they were just waiting to be kissed. The state they were in after I had was way more satisfying then before. Her pale pink lips were a dark red and a little bit swollen from the aggressiveness of our kiss, her cheeks were the same shade as well.
I looked down at her now, she was sleeping soundly against my shoulder, one of her legs draped across my own and her mouth slightly agape. I was rubbing her back in slow circles, she didn't end up sleeping at all last night because she was afraid too, even if she didn't want to admit it. During the day she took naps in my office while I was working but she always woke up more tired than when she fell asleep. I coxed her to bed earlier and soothed her to sleep, and within ten minutes, she was out.
"Santiago?" I looked down at her, she still had her eyes closed.
"Illianna you should be asleep." She yawned and moved closer to me, "So should you. Do you just stare at me all night?" I chuckled.
"No. And I'm not tired." She opened her eyes and slid down on the bed, putting her head on the pillow.
"You can't sleep sitting up." Sighing, I laid down beside her.
"Isn't that better?" I nodded. I draped my arm around her waist and pulled her to me. Illianna leaned over and kissed my lips softly, stroking my hair affectionately.
"You worry about me to much." She said quietly.
"I don't worry, you can take care of yourself." I told her, watching as her eyes started to fall again.
"Then sleep Santiago."
"I will. Watching you sleep is calming to me." She gave me a sleepy smile, "I hope you know that's very weird right?" I didn't answer her, as she was already half asleep. I waited until she was completely knocked out before I slipped out of bed, I needed a drink.
I had this habit of drinking milk at odd hours if the night ever since I was a kid, my mother would always leave it on my nightstand before I went to sleep and I guess it stuck. If I forgot one night I would drink two cups the next night to accommodate, I still do that as well. Ramirez had always teased me because of it. When I entered the kitchen, Ramz was leaning against one of the silver tables staring at his phone.
When he noticed my presence, he looked up and cursed. "Fuck, what time is it?"
"Around one." He released a breath and I raised a brow. "What is happening?" He quickly put his phone in his pocket and avoided my gaze. Ramz wasn't one to hide things from me so this action was shocking to say the least.
"Ramirez what's going on with you?" I questioned, moving to the fridge to get the milk.
"Nothing is going on." I didn't have to look at his to know that he was lying but I decided to leave it. He would tell me eventually. I grabbed a cup from the cabinet.
