So many changes,
when you lose your love,
make you marvel
at the deep dark world.
The life so precious,
ends too soon,
taking love with it,
as it plunges far down.
The darkness of the soul,
weighs down with great fear,
devastation and pain,
as the fall begins,
the spirit breaking,
and all love failing.
The hardest of fates,
leaves scars on all,
affecting those touched,
by the life now gone.
Red eyes watch,
waiting to wake,
afraid of the nightmare,
afraid they won't see.
Everything matters,
and yet nothing at all,
as one life ends,
leaving another to fall.
The aftershock of death,
the dimming of the heart,
the anger in the tears,
the anguish in the cries,
suicide takes its toll,
and a woman's shell remains,
continuing on,
appearing strong,
but empty and sad,
living alone in her ravaged mind,
her scars more painful,
and her smile more frequent,
as she tries to hide her loss,
mourning the death of her love.
Comfort is offered,
condolences served,
but healing won't happen,
in this darkened cold world.
