Behind closed doors,
Across cold floors,
Lonely tears flow.
No one can know,
the pain that I fear.
No one can hear,
the terror I feel.
This darkness that's real,
that shatters my heart.
I just wish to part,
with these salted tears,
but little can quiet my unwanted fears.
Behind closed doors,
across cold floors,
Frozen tears fall,
as I fail to stand tall.
The bittersweet taste,
of a life gone to waste,
as my heart cries out,
and wants only to shout,
"I'm here and I'm lost,
my hope was the cost!
Please save me from this pain,
Show me what there is to gain.
A love so deep,
made me want to leap.
But it was not I,
and that is why I cry."
How I wish to wake.
