Just like a moth drawn to a flame
Oh you lured me in I couldn't sense the pain
Your bitter heart cold to the touch
Now I'm gonna reap what I sew
I'm left seeing red on my own...That beautiful song played loudly in my ears as I walked along the old and unyielding dirt road. It's a road that I walk regularly; everyday actually.
I glanced up in front of me, just to make sure I wasn't about to trip, before quickly returning to the book in my arms. This special book had seen better years, for the pages had already turned yellow and the front cover completely ripped off, but it means the world to me. It belonged to my my best friend; that is until she left me.
Needle and the thread
Gotta get you out of my head
Needle and the thread
Gonna wind up dead...I hummed along to those lines, they were my favorite, before turning the page. There really was no point in even looking at the words, I knew the story front to back, side to side, up and down even. As I said before, this book means the world to me.
I'm tripping over myself
I'm aching begging you to come help
And now that I'm without your kisses
I'll be needing sti-"Oof!" I gasped, releasing all the air out of my lungs, as I'm being bear-hugged and lifted off the ground. My book fell from my hands and I quickly place them on the arms of the person behind me.
My mind is racing, no one, and I mean no one walks this road but me.
Instinct kicks in and I begin to scream, holler, and yell. I'm doing everything in my power to get him to release me.
My foot lands solidly on his knee and he drops me in an instant. Praise the Lord.
I land hard on my rear, but I could care less.
My hands and feet automatically began to propel me backwards. The guy just casually walks forward, slow and steady. A predictor stalking his prey one would say.
My right hand suddenly caught against a rock and I slip, causing my whole body to fall back.
I finally get a glimpse of the bear-hugger.
Tom Hiddleston.
