"What?" I asked breathlessly. "He wants what?"

Tom gave a small grin and placed his hands lightly on my shoulders, "Joss, the producer, wants you. You, Kat, to take Scarlett's place in filming Mine." He squeezed my shoulders, "He wants you to play Kathrine Myers. You." He released my shoulders and looked down at me. "Well?"

"Well, what?" I asked as I crossed my arms. "I can't play Kathrine," I tossed my arms up into the air and began to pace. "I would get her character all messed up. I have no idea how to act-"

"Which is why Joss wants you." Tom interrupted. "What you and I did back there just then was amazing." He began to chuckle, "I could really feel the fear coming off of you."

I stopped mid pace and glared at him, "You would act the same way if you thought you were being kidnapped."

"And I apologize for that, darling. From behind, you look exactly like Scar. Which," he picked up his phone and unlocked it, "I need to text to tell her the news." He looked down at me, "You will do it, won't you? It pays really well, if nothing else."

I sighed and from the spur of the moment I shrugged, "Sure." In a second, a split second I tell you, I was being bear hugged once more. "Oh, thank you darling! Thank you!" I nodded against his chest and awkwardly patted his arm. "Welcome." He noticed my discomfort and quickly released me. Apologizing again he stated that he was going to call Scarlett and break it to her. "Go find Joss. He'll tell you what to do next." He said as he raised the phone to his ear.

Walking out of his trailer, which was literally about the size of my house, I began my hunt for Joss.

Be very, very quiet. We're hunting producers.

I found him leaning against a tree, phone in hand, furiously typing away. "Umm, Hey Joss..." I said awkwardly as I tugged on the sleeves of my shirt.

"Hey Screamer! It's nice to finally meet you face to face." I nodded and rocked on my feet a few times, "Yeah, it's nice to be conscious." Joss laughed at that and nodded as he crossed his arms, "It is; and I take it that Tom told you about my offer?"

I nodded, "Yeah, and I'll take you up on it too."

"Perfect!" He beamed at me. "That first take was wonderful, and now, while the sun is beginning to set, I want to get a few more shots in." He said as he glanced behind him, most likely looking at the camera crew.

Wrong.

In an instant, Tom was bear hugging me again and lifting me up off the ground. "You got problems, Tom." I said as I struggled against him. He laughed into my hair and set me down, "I can't help it if I like to cause a little mischief. But I do need you in my arms again, darling."

I raised an eyebrow, "And why is that, Hiddles?"

"I need some shots of him carrying you." Joss answered as he threw an arm over my shoulders. "Go on now. Right where we left off." He removed his arm and playfully shoved me forward into Tom.

Once we walked over to the spot where I fainted, he instructed me from his big comfy directors chair that I was to lay down and well, play like I was still unconscious. "Perfect Screamer. Don't move a muscle, but be as limp as possible."

Huh? Oh, well, I'll figure it out.

I closed my eyes and sighed softly, waiting for further instructions. "Now, Tom, once I call action, kneel down and caress her cheek. Whisper your lines. Then gently-

"Yes, gently." I interrupted, causing Tom to chuckle.

"Gently pick her up and being carrying her until I say cut. Be sure to glance at her from time to time."

"Yes, sir."

"Annnnndddddd Action!"

I quickly relax my body and I hear Tom approaching, "I didn't mean to scare you, my love." He, well, Adam says in a soft whisper. "I just didn't know any other way to approach you." I feel him kneel down beside me and gently places a hand on my left cheek. "I've been waiting for so long." His thumb runs along my cheek before quickly retracting his own hand. "So so long."

Tom, sigh, Adam, lifts me up into his arms and I remain limp. Trust me, I'm so scared that I'm gonna roll out of his arms. I just hope he doesn't let go.

"Just rest, love. Just rest." I feel his lips on my forehead, JOSS DIDNT SAY TO DO THAT! I stop breathing for a moment, but quickly exhale, and try to brush it off as a sigh.

But then I remember that Adam does indeed do that in the book. Man this guy is good at remembering all the little details.

He carries me for a little ways, never pausing. I can feel him looking down at me every few steps.

"Annnnddddd Cut!"

I open my eyes and nearly get blinded my the sun. "Thanks for not dropping me." I said as I blinked a few times. "No problem, darling." Tom smiled as he set be down. "Sorry for scaring you back there. With the kiss and all. I just-"

"It was in the book. I'm glad you remembered it." I said as I placed my hand on his arm. "I want this movie to be exactly like the book."

"As do I."

"That was great kids. Perfect. No retakes needed." Joss said as he came up behind us and clasped us both on the backs. "Now," he said as he turned to look at me. "What time can you," he pulled a piece of paper out of his pocket and handed it to me, "be there in the morning."

I looked down at the address, it was far from my house at all. Just a mile actually. "Anytime you want me to be."

I heard Tom chuckle and I looked up to see him shaking his head. "Shouldn't have said that, Kat."

I furrowed my eyebrows, "Why no-"

"ALRIGHT EVERYONE! BE AT THE HOUSE AT 5 A.M.!"

"That's why." Tom laughed once more, "See you tomorrow Kat." He said as he pulled me into a hug. "Have a good evening."
