As Alec is getting ready to attend a meeting up at the gaurd I'm laying in his bed jace sitting on his bed, izzy fixing her heals infront of the mirror, aline sitting on the end of the bed I'm laying and and Sebastian perched in the doorway, his eyes constantly on me.

"I don't get why we can't attend its stupid" I exclaim while throwing an arm over my eyes.

"Because your not 18 Theresa" Alec turns to me

"Its barbaric if we're old enough to fight demons we should be old enough to attend the clave meetings, honestly the clave has some backwards ideologies, what's next are they going to bring back that women can't fight, or hevean forbid us working permanently with downworlders" I say sarcastically and izzy says in a worried tone

"Tess your starting to sound like Valentine"

"Well maybe Valentine has a valid point! The clave is corrupt and this world is being over run by demons while our numbers a dwindling!"

"Theresa where is all this coming from, this isn't like you" Alec stands in front of me arms crossed over his broad chest to which I jump up off the bed and storm out of the room, I hear jaces footsteps following.

"Tessa? Stop, wait up"

"What jace? Just leave me alone" He grabs my arm and pulls me into room that seems to be a study. The walls dark and stuffy the only light coming illuminating the room us taut which breaks threw the gaps of the curtains.

"I agree with you the clave does have some stupid rules and there are not enough of us to win this war but we keep those thoughts to our selves especially you, if they clave think your working with Valentine, because of your past with him they'll lock you up in guard and put you in trial, it's not fun tess. Hell who knows if you would even get a trial"

"Okay okay, I get what you mean I'm sorry I just, it doesn't matter"

"Tess what is it? Is it about Megan?" I want to tell him everything about jonothan about Clary about Valentine but I don't I can't what if I loose them all over again.

"I'm sorry for the way I've treated you jace, since Valentine came back everything has been crazy and then loosing Megan to that demon in the boat, she was a better fighter than me. It's just I think if I had of choseing Valentine's side maybe Megan would have made it threw that battle"

"Tess she died and honourable warriors death, what we all hope for" he takes a step towards me and places a hand in my cheak and I look down my eyes cloudy

"Tess look at me everything with be okay?" in a matter of a blink his lips where on mine and I froze, but before i could push him away the door swung open and there stood the small petite frame of Clarissa. I slap jace across the face and Clary runs out of the house, jace after her and I Sebastian walking towards Me closing the door behind him. My body fills with panic, but his face doesn't look angry at all just amused.

"He kissed me! I didn't kiss him back!"

"Lets go some where tess. Come on, you'll like it" the hidden smirk on his smooth lips,how could I ever say no to this face. All angles and lines,creamy pale skin and dark startling eyes.

"Your not mad?"

"No" he pulls me so I'm pressed flat against his chest and runs his index finger along my jaw line "because I know your mine..." I feel my heart screaming to kiss him every fiber of my being wants him to hold me closer and never let go

"Okay....."

we walk out of the house and to the stables. He helps me up onto a stunning black horse and holds the reigns, we travel for maybe half an hour before we reach an old manor with ivory vines creeping up the pillars.
